Title: The Case of Axl Rose vs. Roca Eterna
Post by: ChrisPittman on March 21, 2007, 12:46:14 PM
Ensename A Amarte by Roca Eterna was a Latin/Gospel song written by a very successful South American Latino artist who had a huge reputation and enough money. So, one day, he says that almost 60% of his song is actually Dont Cry by Guns N Roses and goes about suing the band over royalties. Does anyone know anything more about this case, its outcome, and is this the reason the band cant (because they dont) sing the lyrics of Dont Cry?

Wasn't this made up or something? No-one could find any trace of existence of this guy?

Well his official website seems to think he exsists www.rocaeterna.com.sv/  and according to that he has a myspace page at www.myspace.com/rocaeterna so I'd say he is an actual person. And i've heard the song, it does exsist, and there are similarities to be fair.
