Yes but does the quiz tell you which "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" character you most resemble? Isn't that the point of online quizzes? Well, that or your "sexual purity," whatever the hell that is.

I too agree that it was too simple and the fact that many of the policies advocated by those candidates don't match with the free-market and self-determinism emphasis neo-liberalism stresses.

Liberalism is a political system that blends NonConformance and Independence.

Liberalism sees individual liberty as the highest values in social and economical life. It favors the right to dissent from orthodox tenets or established authorities in social or economical matters.

This definition of Liberalism (there are many) blends the social aspects of U.S. Liberalism [NonConformance] with the economic aspects of European Liberalism [Independence].

-------------------------------------------------------
Economic Liberalism is the variation of Liberalism that emphasizes Independence over NonConformance.

People in this category will tend to have stronger opinions about favoring individual initiatives (lower taxes, less corporate and environmental regulations, ...) than about loosening the moral order (gay rights, ecology, drug legalization,...).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Progressive NeoLiberalism is a moderate form of Economic Liberalism.

Neoliberalism is a political philosophy and a political-economic movement beginning in the 1970s that de-emphasizes or rejects government intervention in the economy, focusing instead on achieving progress and even social justice by more free-market methods, especially an emphasis on economic growth, as measured by changes in real gross domestic product.

Progressive Neoliberalism is Neoliberalism associated with non-conforming moral values.

The funniest part about her results (which on the axis are right next to mine), is that she's given a Republican label, and I'm the Democrat.  Actually, we are both  pretty down the middle, but I'm a registered Dem and she's a registered Rep.  (we both can't stand Bush though)  :hihi:

BTW, was anybody else here closer to the center of the axis than us?  I was -.5, -.5
and my wife was 0, -1.   ???  ???  ???

PS I do believe Homer Simpson cracked a brew with Gerald Ford.

For President and Candidates, the percentage measures the distance between you and them where 100% is a perfect overlap and 0% is the longest possible distance.
If you overlap two regions, they are both listed. So if you see both Liberalism and Conservatism, you are a "perfect" Centrist.
