I think he was being sarcastic.

AND don't forget when Axl was wearing Abercrombie and Fitch during the RS interview in 2000. That blew my mind.

"He's dressed tonight in Abercrombie & Fitch, with his reddish hair intact and cut to a Prince Valiant-ish mid-length."

Sorry I edited. It was January of 2000, so that's close to 1999.

Dude, take a trip to every single jumble sale and car boot sale you can find. Look for massive belts, bits of material, sunglasses, jackets, hats, shirts, t-shirts, belt buckles, bootstraps, and anything else you can attach to random bits of your person.

Now, what I'm looking for is a pair of UK size 6 vintage 80s cowboy boots. The ones they have nowadays have such titchy little calves, and although they fit, it ain't what I want. I want MAHOOSIVE gaps between my calves and the inside of the boots! Someone please help me find a site which makes them still!! Even R. Soles in London doesn't do them!! They do amazingly lovely boots (expensiveness!) but alas... no mahoosive 80s style ones... :crying: Please somebody help me... I'd be ever so grateful!

Dude, it's all in the attitude.  You can make a dirty flannel sweater look "rockin" if you wanted to.

Ooh hey here's a good one also, if there's a cushion or tablecloth or bit of upholstery which you like the design of and has been partially ripped off anyway... rip the rest of it off and do with it what you will to make it wearable.

Oooh ooh!! And!! If you feel a bit creative, and you're bored with a plain old boring top... get a bucket of bleach and water it down SLIGHTLY so it won't ruin the top completely, and then tie knots into the top, and use elastic bands to grab other random bits that won't tie, and then dunk the top into the bleach. Take it out and leave it soaked in the bleach for a while, and the bits you can see will go either lighter or white. Take out all the knots and elastic bands, and then put the top in the wash and get all the bleach out.
When its washed, you should have a rather funky looking bit of tie-dye clothing!

Try it with jeans, it works WONDERS!
