Here Today... Gone To Hell!

That all the songs on the net aren't gonna be singles at all? I noticed Better is getting great play but it is not an official single or is there a video for it. So my guess is possibly GNR put IRS MADDY BLUES TWAT and etc. to keep us fans occupied. I cant see anything being greater because all those songs have huge hit written all over them but maybe back in 2002 they would have been singles. Something tells me that Axl is gonna put 3 singles as never heard of songs yet possibly Prostitute,Ides of March and some epic awsome ballad like Madagascar or Blues. I am happy with what we have already and I think all those songs would make perfect singles but.....I'm starting to second guess does anyone find this logical and agree we may not even have any idea whats in store yet? I read the awsome book called ''The band that time forgot in book stores now'' AND IN AXL's words in that book he states he is saving all the Big Guns meaning songs for later? Let me know some thoughts or opinions on this. Thank you!

But I'd say all signs point to Better as being the first single. Hopefully it'll be some insane masterpiece none of us has heard yet.

I have been hoping for that all along, because none of the songs we have heard thus far are strong enough to be the single by which the entire project will be judged on. Beside the fact it would be a retarded move from a business standpoint to release a song that has been sifting through the internet for over a year now as the band's big comeback song. Releasing a song that your fan base has been listening to for over a year is not the best way to generate fan excitement.

I think the songs out are fine for singles, but I do want something different.  I also would not mind if none of the leaked / live songs even show up on the next album

Im not one to speculate without any basis, but it just occurred to me that the recent delays (i.e. since last year) in the release of the album could be due to the leaks. Perhaps they dont want to release these as the main songs and have had to prepare some other songs to take their place. I feel its unlikely that none of the leaks will be on the album but they may have wanted to strengthen the rest of the album considering we've already heard 6 songs.

Personally by common sense I have come the assumption that Axl originally intended to release -BETTER,IRS CHINESE DEMOCRACY,TWAT,CATCHER,MADDY,BLUES,and the leaks as actual songs back in 1999-2002 when Buckethead and them were around. NOW- I'm really feeling strong that he may keep 2 of those songs on the album just because he feels Chinese Democracy is the self title and Better is known on radio but his singles are gonna be stuff we havent heard yet. I heard some rumor tracks named.........Suckerpunched,Prostitute,Ides of March,Today tommorrow forever,Cock-a Roach soup,General,Thyme,Seven and ect. It makes sense to me that IRS,CATCHER and etc. are gonna be only BONUS TRACKS at most evn though they make great singles but I dont think Axl is just gonna release the album with all of fans and listeners having already heard 75% of the songs just doesnt make sense? Sorry but alot of the tracks we know will most likely not be on Democracy. AGREE?

No way do they release CD without Madagascar and TWAT.

I think radio stations playing the Better demo have ruined the impact Better would have made as a single. If that song would not have leaked, period, could you imagine how big it would have been?? ?:-\

I mean ....cmonnnnnn this is getting lame....I am living my life and still check in at least once a week and nothing new or significant is going on.

Because I think Axl made some obscure comment about it years ago, and people think it is dogma even though very little of what the guy ever says actually happens.

This is an interesting idea, and I have thought the same thing.  Axl is an amazing songwriter and he has been working on this album for a very long time.  Better, Maddy, and Twat are all good songs but they seem more like they are lacking somewhat in the quality of a single (maybe twat or maddy later on, but not 1st single).  With the amount of time that has been spent, Axl has to blow everyones mind and he knows it.  He will not release "better" because it is already on the airwaves and will be of no shock at all.  The song that he will release will be heavy and will tear our faces off.  I firmly believe this.  Axl Rose is a lot of things but stupid is not one of them.


I pray this album comes out before June.  Come on Axl, I know you have it in you.

It has to be, it really has to be..Because you can?t call the songs we have heard so far..Master-pieces..Don?t get me wrong, they are great..But something else MUST come by ! ..Goood i can?t wait to hear CD !  :peace:

I honestly think he has mental issues.  His perfectionism is.. a tad extreme.  I think all of the constant delays and bullshit over the years points less to the fact that he is stupid, and more to the fact that he is insane.

The mental issues may exist, but this is STILL a guy who got his shit together enough to tour the world in 2006 and perform quite well.  Insane he might be, but if such a condition contributes to a brilliant album -then so be it.

some of you i that have posted i agree totally like with GNRforever10 right there is what i'm thinking, i mean it makes sence but if they were to release a song that no one has heard yet that is better than Better, Its gotta be big, i can't even imagine a song that good but if it comes for any one it'll come from Axl and G'n'R : ok:

if Axl is "saving the big guns" for the singles, what kinda song do you think it'll be. either way it'll kick ass like non-other

Not many people have heard the song... Only the fans and haters have really downloaded the song and maybe a few others. Also Better isn't being played on every radio station...
