It was a planned and staged release to get feedback and create a buzz for the upcoming album. Maybe even part of the "promotion." The fact that so many stations across the nation are playing the song suggests that the "leak" scenario is not tenable. they did start playing the leaks on tour and everything but i'm still not convinced. bbf seemed to speak out against the leaks, whereas axl just made jokes about it on tour calling us "dowloading motherfuckers" and then smiling. it's hard to say with GN'R, who knows. Our stations have a playlist from thousands of albums, and usually play unreleased material from any band that they play!
