Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Yesterday, while reading some of the BBF interviews made by some fans, I decided to make a try and I e-mailed Bumblefoot too.

I have to admit that I was not really inspired with the questions, but anyway, here they are:

    1) How is your relationship with Robin Finck?

It's good, I enjoy hangin' out with him, and seeing his family and friends during the tours   :)

    2) Is there an explicit reason why the song TWAT was performed only two
    times? Is the band satisfied about how it sounded those two times in NYC and
    Madrid?

No big reason why...   can't speak for anyone else, but I was ok with it.  I like the song a lot.

    3) Are we going to see Brain live again with GNR?

Don't know what the future will bring...  maybe?  lol

    4) Have the band ever considerer playing ''Oh My God'' in the last 2006
    Europe/USA tour? Can we consider that song as ''buried'' or not?

Don't have an answer for that, don't know...

    5) Do you let other people use your foot-guitar? What if Robin or Richard
    come and say ''hey ron, I want to use your foot-guitar on the next GNR
    show''?

They're welcome to use any of my guitars, any time they'd like  :)

    6) Have you ever heard solo stuff from Buckethead? What do you think of him
    as a guitarist?

Yeah, Bucket's a great player...

    7) Are you afraid or nervous for the fact that, after the album is released,
    you are gonna be extremely famous all over the world? Have you ever thought
    how much popularity you will gain?

I just keep faith that whatever happens, everything will be ok.  :)

    8) Is the band planning to perform in Argentina in the short term?

I don't know, but I hope so!  Would love to come play for you all in Argentina!!!

    9) Do you read GNR forums? What about the other members? Do any of them read
    the forums with regularity?

Not telling, lol!

    10) and finally, the ''must'' question: can we, GNR fans, expect to have ''Chinese Democracy'' in our hand soon? Is ''soon'' this time ''the word''?

The album is being mixed right now.  Usually after that, the process would follow with mastering the mixes, cd design, a lot of promotion and preparations for the release.  Hopefully all the business stuff won't take too long, and the album will be available...  (here comes the magic word......)   *SOON*   :)

Bumblefoot fucking rocks!!!  I love this guy's humility.  He is a true class act...and a mega-talented one at that!  My wife says he's welcome at our house anytime for dinner.  She's not comfortable inviting Axl, but I tell her he'd be cool.   ;D 

So what happened to Brain. When the question was previously asked we were told it was because of the baby. Is he out or did I miss something?

Me too!! If so, we could have it before the summer!

I'm guessing that the door is still open at this point but he hasn't committed.

Its great that the man answers anything coming his way but don't wear the man out people. Let him rest a bit with all the questions. He's truly a nice guy but let him breathe just a bit :)

After that? Can't they make the cd design and do the preparations for the promotion and release at the same time? Looks like "soon" isn't really that soon.

Im a bit worried about the Brain situation there....fucking hell I hope he'll be back!

In my opinion, Axl kinda made a mistake when he talked about a specific date, even though he clearly said it was tentative and not a promise. That being said, it's obvious medias will only remember "March 6". We forgive a lot more than the media, and it's not really a surprise for us if nothing happens on March 6 (even a press release I mean), but the media will jump on it and I think it could have been avoided. So of course, March 6 will come and go, and he will be flamed for "yet another delay". I understand he wanted to say something positive to balance the cancelled remaining dates, but I think he should have remained evasive.

The up side is that there's a good chance they won't give another "tentative" release date, the next one will be (hopefully) a "firm" release date. I don't see it happening before May or June at the earliest, when the band will come back to play in Europe or the US. I think that's why they're gonna play in Japan and South Africa, because those aren't places where they played last year without an album. Just my 2 cents though, I bet plans can change over the next few weeks.

The new tour starts in about 6 weeks! Let's see what happens then! :)

someone told me the guys are VERY busy right now in studio, and they're going back to NYC today or tomorow (i see they dont work on the weekends :) )

so it's only a matter of time before CD is handed to recordcompany and .... in 2 months we'll have our CD.

That's exactly my point, he did not answer the questions.
He evaded them. In a nice way, but he evaded them.
Hence the noun, evasion.

I know you weren't agreeing with me, that is why I used the word evasion. Evasion is the opposite of answering questions.
Here's? another word for you: vacuous. As in: vacuous answers. It means "empty." So what appears to be an answer is in fact not an answer because it is vacuous. Get it?

I repeat: there is little actual information there, so it is either evasion or vacuous. Take your pick.
Or to put it in your terms: it is really great that a member of the band makes himself  available to impart no new information. But he answered the questions! :rofl:
