The Dave riff sounded good.

Slash solo was a mess. He is just shredding instead of playing bluesy heavy melodies like he used to!

Also the guys are using the same clothes of the last (#3) preview. So this thing is OLD.

I hated this preview.
I think this album is gonna suck.

Has anyone else had problems viewing these off the site?

Had problems with previous ones, and now can't get this one working either. Am on my work's computer, so admittedly there might be restrictions, etc - but can watch everything off youtube etc no problems - am up to date with flash player, and so on. Any thoughts? Or, even, if anyone could repost it on youtube or somesuch, that'd be cool.

In no way is that listing complete; there were plenty of things on the board that were illegible, crossed out, or out of view.  So its possible that the title changed or simply not visible in the video.

I on the other hand liked the song.

And piano on the songs are nice. I like the fact they are putting more effort into this.

It's a .mov stream, u can use quicktime to watch it (which you probably can't install at work, but hey... ;) ). Not Flash related at all.

Wasted Heart. They didn't mention that song in the last interviews, I guess that was scrapped.

I don't like the song at th end. Way too poppy.  :-\  How many ballads can we expect for Libertad? Guess, Muthefucka is not one of them.  :hihi:  BTW it seems like Scott's favourite (Quen for a Day) won't be on the album, just like they nixed Duff's favourite (Wasted Heart).

Wasted Heart and Queen for a Day may just end up being renamed.

Theres nothing to indicate its been scrapped - it could have simply been retitled, or just not a part of the sessions in the video.  And a failure to mention it in every interview they conduct doesnt means its been scrapped either.

when we saw slash soloing, that was like awesome. i dont even think i saw 1 LP! all different guitars.

so your saying that because Kenny G uses pianos they suck no matter what band uses them, Fall Out Boy uses guitars and they suck so using your logic your implying that Zepplin, GNR, VR, and every rock n roll band sucks. Weak logic.

The dave riff sounds semi-zepplinesque to me, cant judge the slash solo until I here the rest of the song around it, and i hope that song at the end builds up to a sweet part ala the end of SCOM

slash was messin around , he had no headphones or anything just doodling. Pretty sweet stuff these guys got going on , very rock n roll... The song at the end was pretty cool , but Im really digging the riff dave played ( even learned to play it  : D ) I can really hear slash jammin' out on that ala rocket queen style.

I think based on the song list posted behind Scott on the Vlog that the song ?"Queen for a Day" is just renamed to " Just 16".

I could be wrong but who knows. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Weiland said the new album, which should surface this spring, "is completely colorful in a new way, but it is definitely not a concept album." The singer said he scrapped initial plans to weave a connecting concept throughout the LP because "there's been a hurricane of concept albums that have come out this year, and I really didn't want to make the concept album that made the levee break." Velvet Revolver wrote more than 18 tracks for the disc, including "Pills, Demons, Etc.," "Just 16," "Get Out the Door," and "Queen for a Day," and started tracking December 4.

We dont know what the titles on the board signified; they could have been songs being worked on that particular day - nobody knows.  Its very premature to assume a song was completely scrapped because a line was scrawled through it on a board or it wasnt spoken of in an interview. 

I think Wasted Heart could have been scrapped since it's from an earlier Libertad session an they wrote like 4o songs. (According to another Scott interview.) The narrowed it down to like 2o-25 songs and then again to 18-2o. Maybe they only renamed it though.

The video shows a planned song list. It could have changed since then, who knows? The good thing is that we know the name of the songs that are contenders for the album.  : ok:

Last Fight song I agree with Luciano is nothing special so far and isnt anywhere as good as FTP,YGNR or LTA in my opinion.

I think that's the song caled Messages. About 9/11.

It was the other way around for me. Didn't care much for Messages in vlog2 (though I certainly didn't dislike it either) but instantly loved the Last Fight clip in vlog4.
