Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: estebanf on February 16, 2007, 11:19:58 PM Once you converted succesfully the tracks to M4A, by adding that extension at the end, you will be able to decode the files into WAV (or encode it to any other format, if you install the proper plugin) using dBPowerAmp.
Remember that if you DO NOT add the M4A extension, dbPowerAmp wont recognize the files. dBPowerAmp Music Converter R12 (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/bin/dMC-r12.exe) Codecs: 1) m4a & mp4 & Apple Lossless (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-m4a.htm) 2) FLAC (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-FLAC.exe) 3) Monkeys Audio [.ape] (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-MonkeysAudio.exe) 4) Wavpack (Unique lossless and lossy hybrid mode [.wv .wvc]) (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-WavPack.exe) 5) Windows Media Audio Lossless XP (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-WMA10Pro.exe) / WindowsVista (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-WMA10ProVista.exe) * Rip digitally record audio CDs, * Convert audio files with elegant simplicity. mp3, mp4, m4a, Windows Media Audio (WMA), Ogg Vorbis, AAC, Monkeys Audio, FLAC, Apple Lossless (ALAC) * Windows Integration popup info tips, audio properties, columns, edit ID-Tags, * DSP Effects such as Volume Normalize, or Graphic EQ [Power Pack Option], Free from nags**, popups, hidden spyware or bundleware. ** mp3 encoder & All Media Guide meta data 30 day trial license (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/images/dmc/rcfiles.png) (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/images/dmc/dmc-opt.png) Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: Scree on February 16, 2007, 11:23:35 PM Thanks for the upload of this
Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: Scree on February 17, 2007, 02:38:54 AM As an addendum(sp?): This is a show recorded on FILM professionally that was supposedly for release later officially.. never released. Sad thing is, some ponce is sitting on this footage in his high and mighty record company tower and we'll never see the fucking thing. Sad really.

The tracklist there is still the "old" one before this tape surfaced. Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: Ericnor on February 25, 2007, 04:48:04 AM What songs are these?
I thought there were only 5 songs from this show.... if it is june 28th 1987. -Eirik Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: domi on February 25, 2007, 08:57:47 AM thanks alot!

Yeah - Shadow Of Your Love is pretty much a Live Like A Suicide outtake I thought that Whole Lotta Rosie was live though. I never knew that one was an overdub as well. Thanks for the upload! : ok: Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: Ericnor on February 26, 2007, 02:16:49 AM ^They aren't. They're lies sessions with overdubs. Ok, thanks, so the info about the date on JM's site is wrong then? 06.28.87 - The Marquee, London, England opening act: Little Angels set: It's So Easy, Shadow Of Your Love, Move To The City, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Whole Lotta Rosie audio/video recording?: audio [incomplete] notes: This setlist is incomplete. These 5 songs were released on the Japanese EP "Live From The Jungle." -Eirik Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: Limulus on February 26, 2007, 12:43:39 PM yes, regarding this show John M's site info is wrong there for now. i did have this SBD some longer, here is some good info:
----------------------------------------------------------- Guns N' Roses 6/28/1987 Marquee, Londo, England Source: SBD -> Cassette -> ? -> Alan Niven CDR (inc.) -> .... -> Fans Songs: 01 - Welcome To The Jungle 02 - Out Ta Get Me 03 - Rocket Queen 04 - Nightrain 05 - My Michelle 06 - It's So Easy 07 - Mr. Brownstone 08 - Don't Cry 09 - You're Crazy - - - - - - - - - - - [cuts after the song (tape side1 ending?? guitar trouble to blame(?) cause after the song Axl says "give it just a minute with the guitars here...")] 10 - Paradise City - - - - - - - - - - - [2x cuts after the song (technical difficulties at least still with guitars), definately here is(are) some song(s) missing] (Whole Lotta Rosie?) (Knockin' On Heaven's Door #1?) (Whole Lotta Rosie?) 11 - Knockin' On Heaven's Door #2 12 - Move To The City 13 - Mama Kin Notes: - the `black`songs 1-13 are on the SBD CDR - "Knockin' On Heaven's Door #1" is not circulating in the general fan trading/leeching community - "It's So Easy", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door #2", "Whole Lotta Rosie" from this show made it on the official japanese "Live From The Jungle" EP (and some Maxis): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live From The Jungle Label: Geffen Records Japan 25XD-977 1. It's So Easy [Live] (3:57) [= Live 6/28/1987 The Marquee]** 2. Shadow Of Your Love [Live] (3:07) [= Studio Version with fake crowd noise] 3. Move To The City [Live] (3:46) [= Studio Version with fake crowd noise...this is on the "LIES EP" aswell] 4. Knockin' On Heaven's Door [Live] (4:41) [= Live 6/28/1987 The Marquee] 5. Whole Lotta Rosie [Live] (4:32) [= probably Live 6/28/1987 The Marquee] 6. Sweet Child O' Mine (5:56) [= Appetite For Destruction-Studio Version] - the Live Marquee songs are better sounding than the pure SBD -> Cass -> ? -> CDR as they have been professional transfered/edited for this official release. ** "It's So Easy" (the "Here We Go, Here We Go..." fans' chants in the beginning have been edited in from a later part of the show. it actually happened after "Paradise City" before the encore) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Before "You're crazy" Axl says "I'm gonna dedicate this song....to you people in these last 3 shows....in bloody old England". this and Axl saying "thank you, Marquee" in the end of "Paradise City" are proofs this show is from 6/28 as GN'R only did these 3 shows in THE MARQUEE which have been their 3 first European shows aswell:? 6/19/1987, 6/22/1987 and 6/28/1987. - "Whole Lotta Rosie": It's not 100% clear where in the set this song has been played exactly as its missing on the SBD CDR. most likely it has to be in the encore right before or right after "Knockin' On Heaven's Door #1" which probably is the only song missing from this show. "Whole Lotta Rosie" is NOT played at the previous Marquee shows as the AUD recordings from them dont have it. - "Knockin' On Heaven's Door #2":? it is the 2nd time they have performed it on the 6/28/1987 show, Slash says so right before it on the SBD CDR "...you guys weren't loud enough so we're doing Heaven's Door one more fucking time...." so this is the proof for KOHD being played twice at that show, the 1st version -however- is not on the SBD CDR. - "Out Ta Get Me": some parts from this show have made it on the official "(Fake) Live Era"-version Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: CheapJon on February 26, 2007, 12:46:11 PM I can't go on not knowing this so i have to ask..
What does lossless mean? Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: MJ23 on February 26, 2007, 12:54:03 PM I can't go on not knowing this so i have to ask.. What does lossless mean? If you have a recording like a bootleg on a Silver CD, let's take the "Silent Shots" boot, you will be able to rip the audio to your PC. If you rip it to mp3, you will be able to hear a difference to the original recording on the CD. That is because it has been compressed. A 3 minute song with a bitrate of 128kbps would have a size of approx. 4-5MB. If you want to have the quality of the recording to remain, you have to rip it to a format that has no quality loss, therefore lossless, for example FLAC or APE or whatever format. I hope that I wrote it down in an understandable way. :-\ Title: Re: 06.28.87 [Apple Lossless] Post by: CheapJon on February 26, 2007, 01:20:57 PM I can't go on not knowing this so i have to ask..
