Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: spaghetti_incident on February 08, 2007, 06:51:48 PM If some forum users are to be believed, Donatella Versace was one of the guests at Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday; towards the end of the interview she spoke about Guns N' Roses performing at tomorrow's Fashion Designers Hall Of Fame.
The LA Times say... "The evening's events ?- which will take place at the Beverly Hills City Hall -- include a dinner reception, award ceremony, special surprise musical performances and a live auction of the new Versace Lamborghini Murci?lago LP640 Roadster benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation." (Source) Also, with Dizzy Reed's Hookers N' Blow cancelling their shows for today and tomorrow, all signs now point to the GNR performance happening. After she finishes taping a segment for the "Today" show (leaning on silk pillows from the Versace Home Collection), she will choose four of the assembled hunks to provide atmosphere at a Walk of Style black-tie bash for 500 scheduled for Thursday evening in a temporary tent at the Beverly Hills Civic Center. Earlier Monday, she'd quietly communed with an actress who had the Academy Awards on her mind and cruised the stores on Robertson Boulevard. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: babydolls on February 09, 2007, 04:01:45 AM A bit more info - havent found anything new this morning so far though with regards to pics:
Versace isn?t the first high-profile fashion powerhouse to be lauded with Rodeo Drive?s Walk of Style accolade, but come February 8, Donatella Versace will be the first designer to accept the award off the famed shopping boulevard. The upcoming Rodeo Drive Walk of Style honoring Gianni and Donatella Versace will be held three blocks away on the steps of Beverly Hills City Hall at 455 Rexford Drive. The exclusive dinner and concert for 400 will be hosted by Rupert Everett and boast an illustrious guest list, including Prince, Elizabeth Hurley, Sharon Stone, Ingrid Sischy, Franca Sozzani, guest DJ Samantha Ronson, and a rumored Elton John, who is said to be the night?s surprise entertainment. According to an event spokesperson, the ceremony won?t take place on Rodeo Drive because of weather-related concerns (February is traditionally the rainy season in L.A.). The spokesperson noted that the event has been held in the historic Beverly Hills Post Office when costume designers were honored, but never for a fashion house. The actual Versace plaque unveiling, however, will take place next Wednesday evening in front of 300 guests invited to the new Versace store on Rodeo Drive during a cocktail party being co-hosted by Jennifer Smith Hale and C Magazine. I talked to him for about twenty minutes tonight after sneaking into the Versace thing, and I'm confident he's really been working on the album.
Fans should just hang on a little longer. He's done a lot of work, and significant steps forward have been taken. I don't want to repeat specifics though. For as pissed as I get about bailed tours, delayed albums, rotating band members, lack of PR, and shit like that, Axl's still an awesome guy. All my frustrations stem from him not putting out new music. But based on our conversation, I feel really good about him putting out the album soon. Maybe not March, but soon. What's most important, is that Axl's happy. He said the last fifteen years of his life have been hell. It really was sad to hear him say that. With all the things Axl's got going for him, it really sucks that he has to be depressed. He said this last year did a lot to pull him out of it. He said he was having a ball that night. I'd be having a ball too if my girlfriend was as hot as Axl's. By the way, Axl said he thought the EMS site was fun, and posed for a picture with an EMS sign. We talked about how he met Pitman, and how he really got into Lusk. Also, Pitman played the bass that night because Tommy had personal issues and couldn't be there (nothing related to the band or anything). Happy days for Axl fans. I haven't felt this positive about Axl since the Better HD ads leaked, and I went and posted those supportive signs in his yard. Looks like he's really taking steps forward. Rejoice!!! Hopefully he'll give us an interview!? So many of the people who agree to give us interviews are critics, or in BBF's situation, where they don't feel comfortable talking about the band or anything GNR related. Axl would give us an awesome interview. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: MotherGooseLuvR on February 09, 2007, 04:49:02 AM I didn't get to see the show. I snuck in as the guests were leaving in their fancy cars. Most of the people had cleared out, but Axl was just getting started. He was dancing with a girl he introduced as his girlfriend. Quincy Jones and Baz were there too. Axl's definitely still got some dance moves. It was fun to watch him tear it up.

Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: MotherGooseLuvR on February 09, 2007, 04:53:05 AM Talked to Baz too. He said it was awesome that I'd come in there wearing a Rush t-shirt and a Miller Lite ballcap. He thought it was a fashion statement! I didn't tell him I'd snuck in, and that was just how I dressed normally.

Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: MotherGooseLuvR on February 09, 2007, 04:58:02 AM so no release in march...? I didn't ask him straight out (we all know he's not just going to come out and say it). He did explain some of the process he's going through and what stage it's at, but I don't really feel comfortable sharing specific details. If our conversation was "on the record" as one of EMS's Ten Questions, that'd be another story. But we were just talking as dudes. I wouldn't want to share anything he didn't want out there. I wouldn't want anyone to draw conclusions Axl doesn't intend to be drawn. ?All I can say is that he sounds like he's really trying to get that album out there, but that it's a lot of work. ?Shit's been tough for Axl. ?At least he seemed happy tonight. ? Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: polluxlm on February 09, 2007, 05:14:24 AM Did he say if the stuff involved recording or something else?
Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: MotherGooseLuvR on February 09, 2007, 05:17:03 AM The impression I got was that recording was done, but there was still a process to releasing the album. But please don't quote me as giving you a one-hundred-precent accurate answer.

I'm sure photos will surface later on, but for now all I can say is that he IS NOT LYING and he has ample evidence for the doubters which hopefully will turn up sooner or later. Axl DID tell him a lot about Chinese Democracy and Chris Pitman, and he's not telling you because he respects Axl enough to realize that Axl was telling him this as a fan, not as a person who was going to post it on the Internet. You aren't going to find out until Axl wants you to find out. Betraying Axl's trust is what far too many fans do and I respect MotherGooseLuvR for respecting Axl. Axl expressed his discontent towards the press and the ways facts are distorted by them, so what kind of message would we be sending if we printed something Axl had told him privately on the website - especially now that we know Axl has seen the site before and would know where to look? Anyway, hold on for a bit and I'm sure soon the photos will show up to prove to all the doubters that it's legit. there holding back like "I dont want to betray Axl's trust" like as if they have the plans to a nuclear bomb. For one Axl would never tell anyone especially fans about a release date, so what the f@ck are they hiding? answer: nothing, they just want people to visit there site, I dont believe shit until I see otherwise. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: gokken on February 09, 2007, 09:32:48 AM Hey come on, you just dont walk in to an event like that.
If Axl posed with a EMS-sign I doubt that it would be a problem with you posting it.. And the same thing with the statements that you cant tell, if he didnt want us to know anything why would he tell you? Come on! If what you are saying is legit, Axl posed with a sign he would probably know it was going to be posted so post it.. Nice info though but you probably know that 90% here doesnt trust this kind of "insider info" withoout proof. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Donington2007 on February 09, 2007, 09:36:13 AM It has nothing to do with which members were there. If the pic was real why not post it? If they got a pic why even have the pic taken if no plan to post it? the answer's because they want everyone to gather at this thread which worked great. problem is Beta will say it's fake. they just want you all to keep an eye on those other boards so they can get their hard-on link plug for ems.

I have to say that the guy who photoshopped a printscreen of gunsnroses.com was more trustworthy than this. Of course we all hope this would be true to keep our hopes alive but this is kind of lame.

Back on topic, does anyone have the full-size versions of the pictures of the entire band yet? ?It would be cool to see some pics of Pitman playing bass. From the pictures it lookes like a acoustic gig. Maybe the setlist is like the setlis they did at the acoustic gig in london last year? Is there any larget pictures? It costs money to have an account at the site with picture, right? I, just like you have nothing to do with they're page. One question, if Axl can hold a sign saying this, why is it not okey to share the photo? Axl obviously seems okey with it? I bet they played Patience, cause of the acoustic guitar, looks like it's the same guitar he uses during the song on tour. I reckon that it is far more likely to be able to get into an event like this exactly the way MLG said it happened. ?If people were leaeving - the show was over, then security are gonna be a lot less hyped than they were at the start. ?Seems a very strange way of dismissing this story purely on how he got in. Its perfectly possible to get into "events like that." ? I believe the story personally and its boring to read the disputes about it. ?Fair enough that MLG has made a decision to not spill all of what was said. ?Why should he, when he clearly knows that it will be dissected and pounded by the forums for every syllable axl said, or ?how it was said, and his expression at the time, and what colour his teeth were or whatever ?:hihi: Far more importantly - I would love to know what was played ! How are we supposed to talk bout the gig when we know exactly nothing about it? To me the album is far more important. I couldnt care less that he played some gig as a favor to a mete. So hes enjoying himself? great. im personally amazed that anyone else involved in the gnr world would be enjoying themselves now unless the album is out within a few weeks, couple months at most. so it must all be sorted then? We know the recording and legalities and even touring has been a difficult process, so it's nice to think of Axl and the rest of GNR being happy and doing a gig like this simply because they wanted to. There's this pervasive mentality among online GN'R fans that everyone else is just like them; that if they went to a gig or met Bumblefoot (or, hell, even Axl), they'd instantly run home and post everything they'd heard on HTTGTH. Remember: Not everyone is as mad as us.SG Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Skunk on February 09, 2007, 11:30:12 AM Wow this topic got wayyyy off subject. ? Its getting annoying reading all these sites that are trying to get as much attention and publicity as possible. 1. I'm glad to see that GN'R are out there doing stuff - regardless of what it is they are doing. 2. The pics that were sent look pretty cool - I wish I could have been there. 3. I've never been a big fan of somebody posting to a thread saying - I was told this, but can't tell you what it is. Really - what's the point of that. I do respect the fact that he doesn't want to let us know in respect for Axl, but he should have not dangled the carrot. I personally could care less what Axl told the guy, I don't even want to know - but I think what he did is flat out wrong. It's another case of "I know something that you don't". Petty stuff! Enjoy the music or just move on - lets not make it more than it really is. Anyway - Keep Rockin' illusionone Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Lucky on February 09, 2007, 11:51:31 AM there were drums...

Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: FunkyMonkey on February 09, 2007, 12:25:10 PM GUNS N' ROSES played a two-song set at the Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style ceremony, which was held Thursday night (February 8) in Beverly Hills, California. The band, which used a stand-in bass player (Tommy Stinson was apparently unable to make the gig) for the performance, blazed through "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" to close the event, which honored Gianni and Donatella Versace. The news of GN'R's performance was broken Tuesday (February 6) during Donatella Versace's appearance on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" program where she called GN'R frontman Axl Rose a "very elegant person" who loves fashion. Axl reportedly stayed after the band's set until the party ended shortly after midnight. Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach was one of Rose's guests for the evening. Check out pictures from Film Magic.
Donatella Versace was the first designer to accept the Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style award off the famed shopping boulevard. The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style honoring Gianni and Donatella Versace was held three blocks away on the steps of Beverly Hills City Hall at 455 Rexford Drive. The exclusive dinner and concert for 400 was hosted by Rupert Everett and boasted an illustrious guest list, including Elton John, who also played a short set. So you met Axl and he told you shit about the album, so what keep it to yourself if he told you not to say anything. Not true, there were several things I did share. ?Tommy, the fact that CD is coming out, and some minor things. ?And the picture will come out once it's all sorted out. ? Here's another detail that I'm sure isn't considered personal. ?We talked about Pitman, and he said that he was introduced to him right after Mother Goose had personally installed Dr. Dre's home recording studio. ?Pitman was considered a wiz with music technology. ?He came in to help Axl work with some of his new technology, but they ended up really getting along. ?He said after that, he went back and listened to Lusk (which, by the way, is really good pop rock stuff and you should go listen to it too!) and knew that Pitman would have a lot to offer the Chinese Democracy project. I'm sure that bit of info wasn't considered personal as it doesn't get into Pitman's personal life and doesn't involve any specifics of CD's release. The reason I posted that stuff was to let fans know that Axl's really been working on the album and that even a dude like me -- ?who gets pretty discouraged when GNR stalls, tours are aborted and shows cancelled -- that even a dude like me is upbeat about Chinese Democracy's future. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: tHeElEcTrIcSiNtAr on February 09, 2007, 01:30:31 PM Whats the harm in posting the picture? I dont see why that should be a problem. Me personally, if I met Axl and he told me not to say anything about what we talked about, then I wouldnt even come on the message board and say "I met Axl and cant talk about specifics", I would just keep it to myself. The fact that people do come and say yeah I talked to so and so but I cant tell you anything about what they said just want attention and hold it over people's head. So you met Axl and he told you shit about the album, so what keep it to yourself if he told you not to say anything. He already explained why the photos aren't being posted yet. They will be posted eventually. As I said before, he told you guys this because people were still debating whether the show had even happened. Go back to his first reply in the thread and read the handful of replies before it: people bitching about how there was no news. HRS told you guys that he met Axl, and he confirmed that the show happened, but Axl asked him not to share specifics so why the hell are you throwing a fuss?! If you met Axl Rose and Baz and spoke for twenty minutes and they took pictures with you, but they asked you not to share the specifics because they dislike the press, would you post all the details against Axl's wishes? No I just said that I would post that I had talked to him at all. I would keep it to myself, because the way you guys are describing it, Axl didnt want it to be repeated. So I wouldnt have said anything on this board about it. And about the picture, I didnt know he explained they werent posted if you could tell that would be great. Thanks. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: EstrangedReality on February 09, 2007, 01:32:01 PM but he should never had said anything in the first place. Again, it's a case of the attention seeker "I know something you don't know". Look, he just didn't give you guys specifics on what was said. He DID tell you that: 1) The show happened and wasn't a lie or a no-show 2) He has faith that the record is coming out soon, which he didn't before their meeting (*Maybe you should take this as a slight hint about the album release, eh? ::)) 3) Axl has been working hard on the record lately I think that's pretty solid stuff, don't you? I mean, to know that Axl Rose has actually been recording the album and that it has neared completion and is going to be out soon? Stuff we've been wondering about? Axl gave him more specifics on the release of the album and HRS tried to imply - without giving specifics - that it was out soon by saying he had faith in the album again, but you totally overlooked this? ??? He was trying to be as clear as possible without coming right out and saying it, and I'm amazed how many GN'R fans can act like jerks sometimes. You'd think the guy had posted "HA! I met Axl! You didn't! Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah!" ::) Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: EstrangedReality on February 09, 2007, 01:33:11 PM I dont want to get into a philosophical discussion, I dont care if he saw Axl or not. I'm happy as it is, with only knowing that this event took place. but saying "I'm not saying anything", and then continuing to talk about "personal problems "of band members, seems kinda cold hearted, and unethical imo, weather it's true or not. keep that to your self, since it's not music related, but more adequate to a gossip section. Dude, he didn't mention ANYTHING about Tommy having a family issue until people started questioning why Tommy wasn't there. Someone suggested he had quit the band. HRS was clearing this up before any rumors began to spread. You'd rather wade through pages and pages of speculation about Tommy's absence? Now everyone knows the truth - it was just a personal thing that was going on, and he couldn't make the show, so Pitman filled in on bass. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: tHeElEcTrIcSiNtAr on February 09, 2007, 01:33:32 PM Whats the harm in posting the picture? I dont see why that should be a problem. So you met Axl and he told you shit about the album, so what keep it to yourself if he told you not to say anything. Not true, there were several things I did share. Tommy, the fact that CD is coming out, and some minor things. And the picture will come out once it's all sorted out. Here's another detail that I'm sure isn't considered personal. We talked about Pitman, and he said that he was introduced to him right after Mother Goose had personally installed Dr. Dre's home recording studio. Pitman was considered a wiz with music technology. He came in to help Axl work with some of his new technology, but they ended up really getting along. He said after that, he went back and listened to Lusk (which, by the way, is really good pop rock stuff and you should go listen to it too!) and knew that Pitman would have a lot to offer the Chinese Democracy project. I'm sure that bit of info wasn't considered personal as it doesn't get into Pitman's personal life and doesn't involve any specifics of CD's release. Alright dude thanks, I'm wasnt talking bout you persay, just in general when we have people come on here and say stuff like that. You have now shared a good amount of info. Believe me I understand where you're coming from, I would want to respect Axl's wishes too. Cant wait to see the pics. Also, the site is censored on MyGNR so if he posted it here right now, people would start posting it over there and end up getting the EMS crew in trouble rather than the people who are actually posting it. Hes not going to come after you, im sure he has more important things to do. If your scared about anything you say getting miss quoted, misunderstood then put it in huge bold letters that "everything you read below is allegedly what took place, blada blada blada" or whatever. To be honest no official news sources are going to quote you, or even care. As far as they are concerened, if they do really care, the official date is still March the 6th.... everyone on here knows that that isnt going to happen. The press wont jump on it until it gets really close to the date, by that time, as Axl said we will have been informed by the man himself as to what is happening so your comments wont mean anything. You have nothing to loose, but thats just my opinion. You yourself admit that you had to sneak into this thing so if im correct it doesnt seem like your going to be attending anything like this again, maybe never even run into Axl again, so basically you dont really have anything to loose. Jonx I still don't understand why everyone is jumping at him for sharing some information.? ? If you want to respect someone's privacy, you say nothing. There is no middle ground here. The reason everyone is jumping at him is because there is a history of people doing things like this (normally people related to other GN'R websites ?:hihi:). how did it feel? was it everything you expected it to be? are there things (when you think about it now) that you wish you would have said to him...? thanks for the info again, but how the fuck did this encounter hit you? that's what i want to know... Exactly, there is no middle ground, i know for a fact there are people on this board, lots of people for that matter who have had conversations with band members including Axl and have never even mentioned it. There were alot of after parties, especially while they were in Europe last year, alot of people on here went but never said anything about the encounters/experiences they had, thats respecting privacy, not coming on here and being a c**k tease! Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: danijel on February 09, 2007, 02:41:18 PM Guns N' Roses brought down the house at the Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style ceremony on Thursday night in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The event was a star-studded gala honoring Donatella and the late Gianni Versace. A wall-to-wall A-List, including Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford, Ashton Kutcher, Sharon Stone, Quincy Jones, Naomi Campbell, Elton John (who also performed), Demi Moore, Prince, Elizabeth Hurley, Ingrid Sischy, Sebastian Bach, Mischa Barton, Franca Sozzani, Paris Hilton and many others attended the event. Donatella Versace personally asked Axl Rose if GN'R would perform, and Axl obliged with a stripped-down version of GN'R featuring guitarists Richard Fortus and Ron "BumbleFoot" Thal, who played acoustics on "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "Sweet Child O'Mine" to close out the ceremony. With full command of the stage, Axl moved and sang like only Axl can. Bassist Tommy Stinson was unable to attend because of a personal family issue so keyboardist Chris Pitman filled in admirably on bass. Lead guitarist Robin Finck, keyboard player Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer all tore it up. GN'R capped off a magical evening with a great performance that left the captivated audience enthralled and satisfied. Immediately after their all-too-brief set, Axl and the boys went from the stage into the audience, dancing with their wives and girlfriends and mingling with fans as well as society's elite. www.gunsnroses.com Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: floppyfish27 on February 09, 2007, 02:41:56 PM I got the site up... read the article.. very good info... most of which we have already found out....

Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Mr. Redman on February 09, 2007, 02:53:24 PM Tommy didn't leave the band.? He had a very personal, family reason for not going.? As much as Tommy can be a firebrand, he's clearly got a big heart and cares very much for his family. Relax, he's still in the band.? Lucky thing for GnR, Mother Goose is a multi-instrumentalist who can fill in for everyone... Except maybe Bumblefoot. HIs daughters are extremly nice and very personable. The first time I met her, we talked for about half an hour. Too bad I never got to meet Tommy. ? It's cool to see them out and about but, there was something I noticed in the article.... "Immediately after their all-too-brief set, Axl and the boys went from the stage into the audience, dancing with their wives and girlfriends and mingling with fans as well as society's elite." ? ? ?"Society's Elite"?!? What the FUCK?!?? That seems pretty condescending to me. That's quite a subjective term. Personally,I don't find anyone who happens to have a large bank account better than me. When I hear or read something like that,it pisses me the fuck off. Many people in this world are dysfunctional (i.e.- Fucked Up), especially certain folk in Hollywood.? So "Elite" is a buncha bullshit. I would re-word that statement if I were them.? "Celebrities" would sound much more palatable. ? That ain't Frank on the left of Axl -- that's me. See my bushy mutton chop sideburns? And the Miller Lite ball cap? Baz also liked my Rush t-shirt. Someone asked what Axl said about the sign -- he immediately recognized EMS by name. He said he knew about the Pitman site and kinda laughed about it. Nobody quite knows whether to take EMS seriously or not, but after we chatted about Pitman (Dr. Dre, Lusk, etc...) I think he understood that as silly as EMS is, we still really dig Pitman. You gotta admit, he's the most interesting member of the band these days (except for Axl, of course). I think that's a cool name and doesn't have anything to do with personal gain but would look just as cool at the ems web site. but now there'll probably be a bad pic of Axl at the ems web site for years to come holding that sign, if it's real. So let me get this straight, now the theory is that this guy did sneak into this event, and did meet Axl, and did have a picture taken with Axl holding up a sign, only it was a different sign, so he then went home and photoshopped the EMS sign into the picture on top of the original sign. ? By the way, as Christos mentioned, there is now an article up on gunsnroses.com about this event. Finck was on lead guitar along with Bumble and Fortus on acoustics, Pitman played bass, and Frank was on drums. http://web.gunsnroses.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070209&content_id=a1&vkey=news&fext=.jsp Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Tommie on February 10, 2007, 01:57:24 PM "As the world turns, these are the days of our lives" ;D

At least I do. And plus, if it was fake, then what picture was used to photoshop this? You didn't even read the post you're quoting. if the ems millerlite hat dude had them holding a sign that said something else and if he never lets us see the original picture then we'll never see the pic that was used. its the world of technology doublethink although it takes a person who knows about technology to grasp it. to answer the ems issue. i just don't like the person who runs that site. probably never will. he has a history of feeding off of Guns fans' hopes and anticipations for personal gain and web site hits. he has dreamed up ways of pranking Guns fans every waking day of his life. he's banned or negative karma'ed from every bb. the fans who have had similar experiences don't try as desperately to point everyone to a web site. why not have them hold a sign that says Jackamo? I think that's a cool name and doesn't have anything to do with personal gain but would look just as cool at the ems web site. but now there'll probably be a bad pic of Axl at the ems web site for years to come holding that sign, if it's real. Hey dude, the reason we promote our site is because we're proud of our work. ?I know I spend a lot of time getting in touch with people for interviews. ?For every 10 Questions you read, there are 100 Questions that get ignored. ?Do you think I just happened to run into Axl? ?Fuck that. ?I do my homework. ?I spent a lot of time to get there, sneak in, find Axl and wait for a chance to talk to him when I wouldn't be bugging the shit out of him. ?I go to concerts at clubs in Hollywood regularly in hopes of running into band members (well, and in hopes of hearing awesome rock and getting drunk). So while you're spending your free time blowing up images on your fancy computer machine and making up all kinds of wild conspiracy theories about how that picture came about, people like me and the EMS team are out there actually trying to get stories for the GnR fans. ?If you hate EMS for whatever petty, bullshit grudge you have with Jackamo, then fine. ?It's your life. ?But don't try to piss on everyone else's fun. ?Make your own site and get your own stories if you're not happy. And your story about the phantom sign with the photoshopped message is bullshit. ?I take personal offense to that because it implies that I'm a fucking pussy who doesn't have balls enough to take credit for his own site. ? I realize our site might annoy people because we interview dudes like Mick Wall and Tracii Guns (but that's not our choice... in case you haven't heard, anyone working on CD isn't allowed to talk to the press about it). ? I honestly thought there was a good chance Axl would punch me in the face for interviewing Mick Wall. ?But I took that risk, because I do believe EMS is a cool site, and I can stand by everything I've contributed to it. ?While some things have been controversial (like mocking Merck before Axl fired him and made it okay to do so), it's all done in good fun. I felt like taking a piss in the corner or something.? I hung out with the paparazi out front for a while.? Cindy Crawford and some guy from some TV show came out and everyone yelled for them to come over and snapped photos.? It was sad seeing all those spoiled rich Paris Hilton-esque motherfuckers parading around in front of the camerars as they got into their luxury cars.? They were all drunk and stupid.? It made me think of that Motorhead video for "Eat The Rich." I remember asking the paprazi if Chris "Mother Goose" Pitman had walked the red carpet yet yet, but nobody knew.? Actually, I think the carpet was blue.? it was a bunch of bullshit waiting out front.? That's why I decided to sneak in.? What a good decision that turned out to be! Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: misterID on February 11, 2007, 02:55:14 AM So people are bitching at mothergoose for not saying anything, and others are bitching because he did... ::) Some of you are unreal. It was his conversation and he can say or not say what he wants.
No "middle ground" my ass. How about showing respect to Axl and mothergoose. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Donington2007 on February 11, 2007, 03:13:23 AM On topic to the Axl/Baz pics posted in this thread, I agree that they were both buzzed and didn't give a crap about what the sign said. and i also think axl and baz have no idea about ems. they are both busier than you can imagine and have been so since May of last year. they don't paruze the net everyday like bumble does. i'm sure the pics are real....... i just like f'in with you ems guys because youve f'ed with gn'r fans for so long now. but i think you took advantage of TWO blitzed rock stars by having those pics taken. it's like posing with a really drunk girl and holding her tit in one hand while the pic is taken.

I'll agree with you the day somebody takes a picture of him with his dick out. You act like they're little children too drunk to remember their names. Jesus, I've been hammered too, doesn't mean I can't control myself. Besides, what the hell is the big deal? A picture of him with a website name? I'm sure he's devastated to be fooled into something like that. Give me a break. I'm sure he's devastated to be fooled into something like that. Give me a break. it's not just that. it's the whole history of ems combined with the circumstances of the two pics that makes it uncool. and i'll repeat this part again: and i also think axl and baz have no idea about ems. they are both busier than you can imagine and have been so since May of last year. they don't paruze the net everyday like bumble does. .....then ems guys come back with 'axl endorses ems.' it's just not cool. how about the doc martin company posts a pic of 1991 axl wearing their boots and says 'AXL WEARS OUR PRODUCT!' First of all, you don't know that. What we know is that a big portion of the band knows about, and likes EMS. Sadly the odds of Axl not knowing about it doesn't fall in your favor. Second of all, so fuckin' what? I wouldn't give a rats ass if I saw a picture of myself 'endorsing' I don't know, Christian contemporary or whatever. It's life, shit happens move on. It also might be an idea to not get hammered at a place where there are more journalists then anything else. He know the risks. He know the risks. the journalists who are invited are following a code of ethics as well. the scum paprazi are outside. those two pics are a perfect example of why an ems guy had to SNEAK in and not get invited. I'll move on when ems doesn't have the pic at their web site any more. which should be soon if it's not a big deal like you say. If it's principal I can respect that, but I don't see any other reason for taking offense by this. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: Donington2007 on February 11, 2007, 04:06:43 AM i wont answer the question because youre avoiding other good points. namely how ems just got reemed in this thread by an insider.
also, this It also might be an idea to not get hammered at a place where there are more journalists then anything else. He know the risks. is in contradiction to this You act like they're little children too drunk to remember their names. Jesus, I've been hammered too, doesn't mean I can't control myself. and i'll say it again. the whole thing just wreaks of an aspect of desperation to gain attention to ems. and why do you think the person who took the pictures with axl and baz cropped himself out? i've NEVER seen a real fan come back with pictures like that and didn't show themselves. it's because he knows how hated ems is by some people because of many reasons. Which insider is that? All I know is that if gn'r doesn't want something posted on this board they get their way. Until Jarmo removes it I won't believe the speculations of 'some poster'. And it's not contradictions, merely 2 takes on a situation. The rest is just wishfull speculation on your part. Act of desperation? Not wanting to show yourself to the whole world? EMS hated? You don't know these things. Even if you did you're still avoiding my central question, what is the big deal? Where's the damage? Where's the holocaust? This is the most fun thing that has happened since last year, fans are having fun, and so far no complaints from anyone with a reason to. All I see is a couple of over sensitive fans who think they know how everybody feels. Title: Re: Rodeo Drive's Walk of Style show (Feb 8th) Post by: AdZ on February 11, 2007, 04:29:49 AM Bye bye.
