I have this on the news now.  This is so sad.  What a tragedy.  First, her son dies.  Now her.  And her new baby daugheter is motherless.

She tried to play it off that she just talked like that, but I never bought it. I'll bet the bank it was an O.D. or health problems relating to long term drug use.

It was probably a mix of drugs that killed her. I heard she was allgely taking some kind of drug (forgot the name) that people take to get off Heroin. Its the same drug her son was found to have in his system after he died, that supposedly caused his death.

It is indeed sad that she has passed.

i feel bad for her though, her 20 year old son just died recently, and she left behind a baby. what a shame.

She probably OD'd because of the stress of losing her son and all of the publicity she probably didn't want over it.

I had a friend die a similiar way to her son.

U take Methadone and if u mix it with a Xanax or some kind of downer it stops your heart.

First off, it's sad when anyone dies because there is a loss of potential.  Every person has more potential to help than hurt, and so with death, there is a loss. 

That said, I was never fond of this woman in the least.  The ridiculously fake breasts and doped-up affect reminded me of some sort of twisted cartoon-like figure.  I honestly think her baby may have a better shot at happiness with her mom not raising her.  I'm sorry, that's just how I see it.  :(

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the news.  Whether they played a role or not, people who buy that stuff will do a massive communal double-take.

In lasting memory, someone needs to post one final picture of her and her glorious tits from Playboy, I think it was in 1992. I probably have the issue somewhere but no scanner. After all, she  really did not do much in life except  have big tits, marry an old geezer, and sue  people. As the Nightly News  said, she took her 15 minutes and made it last a lifetime.

Her Mom was quoted on the news this morning as saying even she thought it was drug related.  Guess we will see after the toxicology report comes back.  I hear they started the autopsy this morning.

I doubt we'll ever get the truth.

She was a celebrity.? I am sure the facts are already covered up or botched.

I am hearing on the news that they have not found any illegal drugs in her system just prescription drugs.  Also, no evidence of foul play.

I think her attorney/husband/agent/lover murdered not only her but her son Daniel.


He was around both when they died. but mysteriously out of the room when the deaths occurred. They both looked to have died from the exact same thing.  Witnesses saw Stern conceal evidence, flush evidence down the toilet, pill bottles that contained methadone, Xanax and a couple other drugs were in his name.

Her son and her were both considered to be drug type people so to murder them via overdose would not look suspicious.

While conspiracy theories will abound, I'll take my chances betting on a self-inflicted drug-related death.  First off, you have an emotionally unstable woman who is not very intelligent, who has dabbled in the world of drugs for a long time, and obviously has some piss-poor parenting skills (see dead son).  Second, you throw her into a situation (new mother) in which she has crazy hormones running through her system, coupled with the drugs, coupled with the poor coping skills, whammo.  Third, the woman was obviously a whore.  If you have 3 men claiming paternity, obviously you have little respect for yourself making suicide more likely.

Seriously, the baby is better off.  It's very sad to say it, but it's true.     

Yeah, they have confirmed that it was pretty much not related to heart failure.

A third man has claimed he might be the father of the late glamour model Anna Nicole Smith's baby.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, is set to step into a paternity battle for five-month-old Dannielyn.

Two other men have already laid claim to the little girl, who could inherit ?270m.

Both Smith's partner Howard Stern, who is named on the birth certificate, and her ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead insist they are Dannielyn's father.

Meanwhile, an initial post-mortem examination into the former Playboy model's death has not revealed what killed her.

The lawyer raised the possibility that sperm from Smith's late husband may have been frozen and used for in vitro fertilization. No formal claim on this possibility has yet been filed.

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- A newspaper published two photographs on its front page Monday showing Anna Nicole Smith lying in bed fully clothed in an embrace with the Bahamian immigration minister, who approved her application for permanent residency.

Immigration Minister Shane Gibson has come under criticism from the political opposition for giving the former Playboy Playmate special treatment in granting Smith -- who died Thursday in Florida -- residency in the Bahamas last year.

The residency application was based on Smith's purported ownership of a waterfront mansion. But G. Ben Thompson, a South Carolina developer who once dated Smith, has said he had not given Smith the house as a gift as her lawyers have asserted. Thompson is attempting to reclaim the house.

A representative of Anna Nicole Smith's companion, Howard K. Stern, scrambled on Monday to control dissemination of items he said were stolen from the mansion over the weekend before he returned from Florida, including images from a computer taken from the house.

Ron Rale, Stern's spokesman, said in a statement Monday that anyone who disseminates any of the items without his prior written consent "will be held liable to the fullest extent of the law." Rale said police have recovered all the missing property.

Two photographs published on the front page of The Tribune of Nassau show Smith and Gibson looking into each other's eyes with their faces only a couple inches apart while lying on a bed decorated with pink flowers and a white ribbon. The newspaper said the photographs were taken in Smith's bedroom and that it obtained the pictures Sunday from an unidentified source.

Opposition leader Hubert Ingraham said he was looking into the matter.

"I'm making some inquiries," Ingraham told The Associated Press.

All of Smith's personal items, including the birth certificate of her 5-month-old daughter, whose paternity is being disputed by three men, had been taken from the house, Rale said.

Stern over the weekend reclaimed the Bahamas mansion along with 5-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. They had lived in the gated waterfront estate, known as "Horizons," before Smith died last week.

Stern said he is trying to keep Smith's mother, Vergie Arthur, who traveled from the United States and went to the gates of the mansion on Sunday, from seeing Dannielynn.

"She just despised that woman," Stern said, in a video segment broadcast Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

"As long as I have one breath left in my body that woman will not see Dannielynn," Stern said.

Arthur told "Good Morning America" that she fears for Dannielynn's safety, pointing out that Stern has been present when Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, died under mysterious circumstances in a Bahamas hospital room while visiting his mother days after Dannielynn was born.

A coroner hired by Smith's family said Daniel died in September from a lethal combination of drugs, including methadone. An inquest into his death is scheduled to begin March 27.

"I do have a problem with her being with Howard Stern," Arthur said. "I had a daughter and I had a grandson. He was there when both of them died. Now I only have a granddaughter left, and now he has her, and I'm afraid for her."

A former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, has filed a lawsuit claiming he is the father. On Friday, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, announced that he had a decade-long affair with Smith and he may be the girl's father.

The New York Daily News has reported that a manuscript it obtained says Smith froze the sperm of her late 90-year-old husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, before his death and may have used it to become pregnant.

Since Marshall's death in 1995, Smith had been waging a court battle over his estate. A federal court in California awarded Smith $474 million, but that was later overturned. But in May, the U.S. Supreme Court revived her case, ruling that she deserved another day in court.

Experts say the decision of who receives custody could determine the child's inheritance.

In a way, she got what she wanted, already 4 pages about her here, more everywhere, she has become an icon.
