Who didn't get the Greatest hits album because they didn't see it as offically released By Guns N' Roses?

Well I didn't get it because I really don't see why I should buy an album full of songs I already own...

i didn't get it for both reasons.

I didn't get it for that reason too.  As for, "Sympathy for the Devil".  I was a downloading MF'er for that one.

I actually bought that one since I've misplaced a couple different afd's and uyi's...   oh and also for sympathy for the devil... 
I've since picked up another afd and uyi(1).. that probably makes about 10 afd's and 4 uyi(1)  always seem to misplace or people are taking em...   
don't mind spending the coin though in my support..

i never got it....the only thing that axl and slash agreed on since before TSI was even released....so i stayed away :peace:

Me too. I already have hundreds  of  boots with the same songs  over  and  over (the  wife thinks I am crazy). So why buy them again? Makes no sense.

btw i got all the albums too i just wanted the greatest hits i dont why but i think they should have put some of the songs on there that were never released like Crash Diet and Shadow of your love.

But, Crash Diet and Shadow of Your Love weren't greatest hits......

i know but i think they should've put them on there as like an extra or something, listen to Crash Diet, it has the potensial to be a great song in the eyes of the media. I just think that that song would've been a great single. Just a thought

I bought it just to fill my collection ::) I think I actually listened to it for couple of times in car or something..

yeah i didn't get it cos it had nothing I didn't already have...i have the albums and the Sympathy for the Devil CD single...so i didn't see much point....

guilty........i bought it......it was me.....ok....and no, im not ashamed, and no im not stupid, and yes i do have the same tracks more than 5 times already.......so? why did i buy it....GUNS N' FUCKING ROSES.......OK? ;D

i got into gnr just last year, but rather than buy the greatest hits first i bought AFD.  And my god i'm pleased i did.  AFD IS practically a greatest hits alone.  The other thing is, whilst it may be, quite literally, their "greatest hits" it is definetely NOT a "best of".  It misses off so many of their really great but unreleased songs.  Frankly, the only Greatest Hits that would do them justice would be a combined release of AFD + Lies + UYI I & II, taking off about three or four songs.

Nah, I didn't get it.  Like others, I own the albums, so I saw no need for it.  A GH can sometimes be nice for the car, but I've really grown to dislike greatest hits compilations, because they always miss out on fan favorites that casual fans never know.

I wouldn't say it "blows," but there was no way I was buying an album full of songs I already owned just to get one extra song, epecially a cover song, and ESPECIALLY a lackluster cover song.    :peace:

I already have the songs.  No need to buy 'em again.

Alot of people are sayin they didnt get it coz they already had the songs on the other albums. I to have all the other songs on the other albums including the SFTD single but I would have bought it if it was released with Axl's concent.

My buddy on the other hand just didnt wanna hafta pay for old GNR songs!


Just think... More than half of us (true GNR fans) didnt buy this album.. Think what will happen when CD comes out!  :peace:

If less then half of us bought TGH then I'm sure more then All of us will get CD.

i didn't get it. wrong songs, awful packaging and not supported by any gn'r member + a fan doesn't need a GH-album if there are no new songs on it cuz he already got all the material!

i bought it because it has GNR's name on it...and i didnt have the artwork....and it was only like 10 bucks

Well, Greatest Hits albums are interesting for people who aren't really fan of a band but do like the hits they had.  I have a couple of Greatest Hits albums from bands where I don't have any other album from.  So I guess those albums are cool for non-fans.  I never buy Greatest Hits, Best Offs, or any other compilations of bands from which I have all the albums.  It's just a waste of money.

I have all the songs, why bother?
