DTS IS a superior format to dolby digital(AC3), and you can especially tell the difference on a good music DVD.

Pity DTS is not used more widely especially on music DVD's.

Never tried converting it myself.

This here may help http://dtsguide.de.vu/? : ok:

if your trying to burn it to cd theres a dvd audio converter that will just let you grab that info off a dvd and put it onto your pc/cd...but yes dts 5.1 is good...but to be honest...I hope some bands will take advantage of Blu-ray and HD DVD....I know NIN is doing it, but Id love to see more people do this...the new HD formats, will indeed give us lossless sound..especially if your using HDMI 1.3

Well none of that seems to work.

I have them as a .wav files. They are playable only on VLC Player (VideoLAN). But when i convert it to any other audio format, or burn the files onto a cd or dvd, it doesnt work. (you can only hear noise)
