Title: How much d0 you REALLY love Guns N' Roses?
Post by: axlrosegnr on January 28, 2007, 01:42:00 AM
OK, I was gonna put this in the regular section, but it has no relevence to today or anything, so I put it here. I guess what I'm asking is, how much do you really like thi band. How do the really affect you? To me, they have the biggest influence in my life more than anything. Every time I see Axl live I break down in tears. I am so overwhelmed by his presence that I can't function. Hell, when I watch a video, the same thing happens...I just re-watched the 2002 MTV awards, and I remembered how  happy i was that that was happening, it was the greatest feeling of a lifetime. To me, Guns N' Roses' music will ALWAYS be there....it will never leave you, it will never cheat on you, it's something that will always be there whenever you need it. And I will alwyas look forward to it. OK, I'm done, goodnight.

GNR is one of the greatest bands of all time. Axl is a true artist.

Well GN'R is my favourite band and I listen to it everyday. Some of the songs have inspired me too. I guess I really started liking music when I discovered GN'R.

I really find this somewhat disturbing, Reminds of those teen girls passing out just because their favourite artist is playing... :nervous:

Okis..I DONT cry when seeing them perform (you wouldn't see a lot then eh) but I DO get a lot of energy out of watching the performances. Furthermore, their music helps me clear my mind : ok:

Enough to take off work, spend $1,000+, and head to NYC to see them after years of silence.  GnR, more than any other band, represents my high school years, and some of the best times of my life.  Looking forward to the new music more than I can say, really.

Granted, I don't love them enough to get a big old Axl tatoo, though... :)

GNR really got me into music and i think axl is one of the greatest lyrisists of all time. But its the fact that axl is the underdog of the music industry these days.

Agreed. Some of the GN'R devotion I see around here is rather offputting. Even listening to GN'R EVERY day is excessive imo.

ya i've never gone as far as breaking down crying, that does seem a lil extreme.  the closest i ever got to that, when i saw them at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the first few shows of the year, I felt a lil tear in my eye cuz of seeing Axl back and looking and sounding fucking amazing.

Oh - and I think you should've turned your nipple into one of the guitar knobs.

there was a time when i listened to GnR every single day.

Now I only listen if they happen to be on the radio, or if I put on the Blues.
