Well, the drumming job is Brain's. If he quits, Frank comes back. Frank is around to fill in when needed.

It's a Chris Pitman fansite.

And you have to look into his pasts bands to see his true talent.
ZAUM, Lusk, Replicants, Etc.

He has the most impressive resume out of all GNR members right now.

Title: Re: Brain set to return in 2007 (interview)
Post by: adnan on January 24, 2007, 07:45:38 PM
I think Tommy has a slightly more impressive resume.

Still, Pitman's great.

But this interview is about Brain.

Title: Re: Brain set to return in 2007 (interview)
Post by: EFISH on January 24, 2007, 07:46:02 PM

:nervous:

Tommy played with The Replacements since he was in grade school, and also Soul Asylum.
Robin played in Nine Inch Nails.

That's way more impressive, IMO.

Post by: adnan on January 24, 2007, 07:47:29 PM
IMO Pitman has the second best resume after Tommy.

The Replacements. HELLO?!

But you guys are missing the news, Brain will be back in GN'R!  : ok:

Brain coming back is really good news.

There at least seem to be plans to tour this year, which could mean the album is also on the way.

I say Pitman could be the most sought out artist in GN'R, but when it comes to releases and appearances he takes a back seat to at least Tommy and Brain. Still, he is in my opinion one of the most talented in his genre and I think we'll see his fingerprints all over CD.

yes, first we asked him to check out the site, he thought it was cool, and we asked him to do a 10 questions interview, and he told us to "Hit him up" with the questions. It only took him a few days to respond.

The funny thing is that people would rather make up rumors than listen to what was said all along....

Brain and Frank are both in GN'R.

Title: Re: Brain set to return in 2007 (interview)
Post by: AxlRose4eva1 on January 24, 2007, 08:56:54 PM
I didnt like Frank that much sorry and think brain is much more reckognizable and I like his style a lot more. ?I havent heard anything he's recorded, but live I definitely would choose Brain over Frank. ?Not that Frank is bad, but I find Brain to be more entertaining and thought he sounded better. ?Also Brain fits into this idea that Axl got the best musicians to fill his band, not saying Frank is bad, but Brain is a known personality in the music world.

Oh and Dr. Dre + Tool and whatever other rap groups/ nu rock groups do not add up to The Replacements, you gotta be out your mind. ?If any of you ever saw Robin live you would realize why Trent and NIN fans were so mad when he joined up with Axl. ?Id take Tommy's past above all else, but they do things differently, Chris can go and help a bunch of bands, where as Tommy or Robin have to pretty much join 1 or 2 bands, but still The Replacements are Rock n Roll hall of fame material.

^^ Lusk and Replicants do though.

Replicants' sleft titled covers album is probaly the greatest cover album ever made.
And Lusk was nominated for a Grammy.

And NIN didn't NEED Robin.
Replacements is a great band though.

I meant to ask him if he played drums on the South Park theme song.
And we had a buckethead question, but it was too ridiculous (Sp?) to send.

Very good news. My all-time favorite GN'R drummer back in the mix. Brain has been a part of all this for going on 7 years and has certainly earned the right to be around for what should be the real re-emergence this year...

Meanwhile, big shout out to Frank Ferrer. Just like Gilby pretty much saved the final 2/3's of the UYI tour... who knows where the hell GN'R would be w/o Frank... can't imagine another summer's worth of cancellations would have helped the cause all that much.... nor would have forcing a distracted and pissed off Brain to do all the shows been a great idea either... anyway, Frank's still a Gunner and I'm sure he'll never be too too far away should the need arise....

Well at least this tour he doesn't sway the synths / keyboards that much...

Broke more hits then Google!

And, I don't see why MYGNR is so gungho about saying that (y)our site is;
It's pointless nonsense, aimed at advertising a site that's been set up for the sole purpose of ridiculing and insulting a band member. We don't condone such sites.

Second, there's nothing "new" or "newsworthy" in it. We posted many months ago confirmation from Merck that Brain was still in the band.

But really though, we DO apperciate Pitman. I can't see why we can't post the site there. Next, Slash will be getting cencored (sp - it'is early for me)

I want him to quit making dumb commments like " as long as they pay me I'll be there".  He doesn't interact w/ the crowd, doesn't talk about GN'R when he's not with them, doesn't look like he is having any fun onstage.  He's doing it because he's getting paid.  That was not just the case with Steven and Matt.  They wanted to be in GN'R. How fun was it to see Frank love being up on stage and giving interviews, pics and getting the crowd to chant GN'R?  I would rather have Frank.  My opinion.  Still going to love the band.

I disagree. In the past, Jackamo has played "NEW CD INFO!" pranks at another well known forum and then admitted it lower in the thread.

I DO agree with Madison though, as EMS is just a web site that exists for the sole purpose of making fun of Chris.... masked by the illusion of a strange sense of humor. This is all just in my oppinion of course. I'm sure I'll be flamed by a bunch of posters with "Newbie" or Negative Karma's near their name.

Is that interview even real??

I doubt it.

You seriously think that screenshot of the email is fake? Do you have any clue at all how hard it would be to photoshop it that well? Brain's email is on his official website. We emailed him asking for a 10 Q's, and he obliged, being a nice person. He gave funny answers cause he "got" the point of our site (not to ridicule Chris at all, btw).

Anyway, this really shouldn't turn into another EMS bashing/supporting thread. Jarmo recognized that this is real and since it contains information of relevance to GN'R he left this thread open. The interview is obviously real since we have the screenshots to prove it (as we did with the MW interview).

This isn't about EMS, it's about the 10 Q's with Brain. Please stay on topic.

I said I doubt it. I didn't say it's fake. And it's not relevant news, as Jarmo himself pointed out in the first page of this thread.

I still stand by this though...

And I don't think this bb should support a web site that exists for the sole purpose of poking fun at a current GN'R member, masked by the illusion of a strange sense of humor.

I recently deleted my account here because I'm really busy and don't have time for people like you. And while we're on the subject, why don't you tell the readers here why you got banned at gnr2k.

The issue of whether or not I thought it was real, was already cleared up before your post. Therefore you didn't honor the agreement that adnan and I had to drop the issue.

You never even SAID you didn't like my movie, you just wanted to make a snide remark about it. So everything in the quoted post above was not necesary for you to say.

Regardless, since I know a little something about promotion, I'll thank you for brining up my movie and drawing attention to it.... which is all you ended up doing.

If the site bothered someone in the GNR camp I am sure they would make it known. ?But I still fail to see what is so offensive about it. ?

No matter how you cut it, the owners of the website are GNR fans and they pay to have that site up. ?Who is anyone else to judge how a fan expresses him or herself?

I'm sure Chris likes him.? Pitman's a really cool guy.? From what I've heard about him and what he posts in our forum, he seems to be a very down to Earth, laid back guy with a good sense of humor.?

As much as I love old GnR, I totally respect Pitman as an artist.? He's worked with Axl, Tool, Dr. Dre.? Those guys aren't idiots.? They know good music.? Pitman's worked on metal, industrial, rap, and experimental electronic music.? He also plays guitar and was in a band that released an awesome collection of rock cover songs (including some Neil Young).? If you listen to the Zaum demos, you can understand why Axl would want to bring a guy like that in to help him develop a new sound for his new songs.?

This is all I'm going to say about it.? I just really dislike people thinking we're making fun of Pitman because we have a sense of humor.? Do you know how much time it takes to do EMS stuff?? Why would any of us dedicate that much of our time to someone we didn't even like?? That'd be psychotic.? The simple fact is Pitman likes EMS.? He said so.? You can read it yourself.? And if Pitman is likes EMS, then why do you think you have the right to be all pissed off on his behalf?

If I remember correctly, Pitman posted in our site shortly after we made contact with another band member for an interview. ?Or maybe it was when Cherry, one of the members of our forum, met him. ?I can't remember when exactly. ?Plus, the IP address was from somewhere in the SoCal/Los Angeles are, which is where he supposedly lives.

You know we've talked to Bach and Brain. ?There are another couple of other very cool interviews coming up too. ?Why's it so hard to think any one of those people would have told Pitman about the site? ?Admit it, people like Edward Rose just hate Pitman and they're taking it out on EMS.? I got news for you kids... Pitman = Guns N' Roses.? If you don't like it, go listen to VR.

This debate is going no where.

Did anyone hear that Brain is going to be back with the band?

These EMS guys are clowns.  I wouldnt believe anything you read from them or their site.  I mean theyve all been banned from every other gnr forum and I wouldnt be surprised if they are actually one guy with too much time on his hand playing pranks.  Just look at Mothergooseluvr's posts.  They are hilarious and do not come from someone who is serious.  This is a post from november 15, but i assure you there are funnier ones.

Hmmm.... who am I gonna trust?  Axl Rose, or some downloading motherfucker who Del James says needs to get a life?

Sorry dude, but I'm trust Axl Rose.  The album will come out on one of the next six Tuesdays.

If it doesn't, then that means Axl and Merck just lied about it to try and drum up a little publicity for Axl's second Chinese Democracy tour.  It would mean that they intentionally lied to their loyal fans to try and grab a little extra cash.

Sorry dude, that don't hold water.  Plenty of huge albums are launched quietly, with no publicity and no official release date.  I can't think of any off the top of my head, but there are tons.

Your argument = shit.

Hey dude, in case you didn't notice, Axl cleared up all that 13 Tuesdays business.  It was called an open letter from Axl.  Google it.  He said the album's delay was Merck's fault and even said the 13 Tuesdays shit was lame.

Ok how do you explain this one:

I agree.  People act like "going to the concert" is the only part that matters about going to a concert.  There's the excitement of planning it, buying tickets, taking the road trip, renting a hotel room, the meals while you wait, and eventually, the long drive home.  The concert is just the icing on the cake -- if it happens.  If you peoplel buy a ticket for a concert and EXPECT to see a concert, you're just setting yourself up for failure.  If it happens, GREAT.  If not, just enjoy the long drive home and get on with your life.  Blast AFD the whole way, baby!!!
