 If you could pick one person to sit down and talk to Axl tomorrow for either a radio or television interview, who would that person be?

Initially I was ready to criticize this choice, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.

Kurt Loder.

Axl trusts him and Kurt would ask the right questions.

loader, lol!!! That's for sure, because it'd be a load all right. Loder couldn't do it because he's too concerned about maintaining his connections, so he wouldn't want to piss off Axl, thus he wouldn't be able to ask the hard questions.

You'd need someone outside of music, I think, who could ask the hard questions. I don't know who that is.

David Fricke of RS magazine.  He knows his stuff, is immersed in the music world and industry, and has been around long enough to ask tough questions while showing respect.

Loder for me too. He's, IMO, a real music journalist. Besides that, Axl know him for a long time now, and he trust the guy. Plus Loder gave a fair shot to the band when they played RIR back in 2001.

I think he should get the opportunity to writte a piece about them and get an interview with Axl.

The only person to interview Axl is Chuck Klosterman.  He's offered and Axl should seriously consider it.

there used to be a girl working for MTV i think, curly hair, wore glasses, she used to do wicked interviews of rock stars, i saw one with her and the chili peppers and it was brill.

Not only is she cheeky but she asks intelligent questions, her interviews are fun and laid back.

In the early stages of the CD promotion, I would like to see an interview with Kurt Loder first.  This will add credibility as Loder is well respected (and we know how much he loves AXL)

Followed by an interview with Carson Daily.  He is also credible and will appeal to a younger audience than Loder.

After CD has had some success on the charts, I think a fun/laid back interview with Stern would be perfect.  Stern has a huge audience, loves hard rock, and would show a funnier more human side of Axl to his audience.

Seriously Hands down Howard Stern! Howard is an amazing interviewer and most of the time its not perv related interviews. I would also like to see Axl do Lettermen.

I believe I'd go with Kurt Loder for the interview.

 Way to many people would softball the interview and ask Axl tame questions. Give the interview to Howard Stern. He has what it takes to make this interview both informative and funny!

I'd say Kurt as well.....if it ain't broke don't fix it. Most others would just try to fuck with Axl, and purpously make him feel uncomfortable. However I do have to say, my favorite "interview" with Axl was on Eddie Trunk....It was just him being himself and having a good time. I don't need answers about the past, that's his business. It was way more entertaining for me to hear him joke with Sebastian and tell old fun stories.

No, he really wouldn't.  He praises everyone and tells them they're great without exception.  It's boring as hell.

Absolutely. No question. When Axl starts making the rounds he must stop by the Stern show. Stern was the first major radio show to play IRS. And he is hands down the greatest interviewer in the world. Stern and Axl also have a history. Make this fucking happen!

Problem is, when the celeb knows who Sasha is, and is in on the joke, the interview isnt really funny. It misses the whole point of what makes these two characters funny. Axl knows so...no.

how about james lipton from inside the actors studio?
he did a good job interveiwing elton john among many.
he knows what to ask.
and he is very professional about it as well.
