Title: Trouble with my computer...help??? Post by: Axl4Prez2004 on January 20, 2007, 03:39:15 PM I'm pretty sure there are some tech savvy folks here at HTGTH.? Out of the blue, I was unable to play vids at Youtube.? It directs me to the download page, where I have been unable to dl flash.? When I look in my "add/remove programs" I see its name there, but there is no file size over to the right listed.? It's as if it's there, but it's not.?.??
That was yesterday after several attempts.? At one point I got a message that said I needed some sort of administrative allowance.? But I am the administrator.?? Today, I tried installing an internet security suite program and it gave me the message Warning: you don't have sufficient privileges to install or uninstall this program.? Try logging on as Administrator.? I'm confused.? Can anyone help? Title: Re: Trouble with my computer...help??? Post by: Axl4Prez2004 on January 20, 2007, 09:06:17 PM Mods, please delete this post. Title: Re: Trouble with my computer...help??? Post by: Krispy Kreme on January 21, 2007, 10:53:55 PM Get a Mac. Actually, I love Macs and have had a Mac for 20 years. But this Imac G5 is a piece of shit. I had a problem--would not wake from sleep, so I took it to Comp USA. Now my problem list is much longer: won't wake from sleep, Entourage crashes upon opening, Safari crashes upon opening, freezes uppn start up, etc etc. The list goes on: A-G problem list. The point is that the problem before was inconvenient, but now my computer is useless. And 2 years old. I paid $1500. For two years of use. I took it back to CompUSA and the guy said everything is fine. I bring it home, start it up, and all the problems I told him about still exist. So either Comp USA is incompetent, or Apple has started to turn out bad product. My wife says I should get a Dell. We bought hers in 2003 or 2004 and have never had a problem. But I am a Mac person. |
