Wow.  Those are pretty bad for the most part.  They sound like bad karaoke.  Although, I do sort of like the November Rain clip.

i can't see any interest to this sort of record.
trying to reproduce note for note Guns N'Roses songs without any style and originality ?

boring and laughable.

you should listen to the acoustic version of November Rain (like the old gnr demo) from this tribute record. here's the link http://www.drummertroy.com/alexgrossi/agmedia.htm

like you said it sounds like the acoustic demo, so, what is the interest ?
i mean, i like covers, i loved sheryl crow sweet child for example,
because it was *personal* and *different*.

That is embarrising....I can't believe anyone would appreciate this type of album. Honestly who would buy this and listen to it? Why not listen to the original music which is lightyears ahead in quality?

The problem with these Guns N' Roses tribute albums, is the vocals. I've heard several GN'R covers, mostly from no name rock acts on the horizon, and usually, the instrumentals sound great. Alot of them, although they miss a few things (they might be putting their own twist on it), get it right on guitar.

But they completely miss the boat on the vocals. Not that anyone can't top Axl, it's not that, it's just... it's like the soul is missing from the song. There's been a few artists that have done live covers of GN'R, and have done well, but I still don't think anything has officially came out that's good. Not yet.

0 as long as those samples stay up. It's gonna scare any potential buyers off. Who's gonna listen to those godawful samples, and wanna shell the money out?  ???

I saw the Canadian Hollywood Rose that are on this CD a few years ago...
It was a show that would be good if you were absolutely loaded drunk in a bar.

I thought they were just lame.

I just wonder who the hell would rather listen to this than the originals, let alone spend any money on it...? Besides friends that aren't GN'R fans and maybe the parents of band members? :P

Why call the album "Chinese Hypocrisy", in reference to Chinese Democracy, if there is just old stuff on it? Free publicity I guess...

I kinda wanna hear the rest of November Rain.  Actually sounds pretty solid.

Edit:  I actually spent the 5$, November Rain is actually very very good.  But the rest of the album pretty much blows.

Don't expect much for your Money. Why even have a tribute CD when you can have the original songs???
