Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Hey, yesterday I went to the ice skating rink and they had a DJ there, so I had the bright idea to get him to play Better... Well, he didn't know about it, and he said, "here's some new Gnr!"  And then he played about the first 20 seconds of it and then stopped it and played something else.  I asked him why he stopped it and he said it was because his boss was there and told him he couldn't play it.  He said he would have kept playing it, but it wasn't his decision.  It kinda sucked, but it was fun while it lasted.  :smoking:

damn that could have been a good marketing tool to get all the people at that skating rink toj listen to the new generation of Good music. O-well nice try man : ok:

i work at an arena here, and when we have to do public skating the workers brings CDs to play, i've played all the new GN'R songs over the PA

Good for you (not sarcastically).  I did this until last year, then gave in when I saw some of the Download performances.  Then again, I've heard it live and can play it in my head whenever I want.  ;D

As soon as the intro started it set off the radar detector that Axl has programmed into satellites that cover the entire globe.  As soon as it was heard and pinpointed, Axl called the boss to threaten a lawsuit if the song gets played.  The boss hangs up the phone and threatens the DJ with a lawsuit and termination of employment.  How's that for good detective work???

The boss probably doesn't trust random music being given to DJ's to be played without checking it out first.  How was he to know it wasn't some 2 Live Crew kinda stuff?  And if he knew it was GNR, it could've been another Get in the Ring.

Well the DJ asked if it had any bad words in it, and I was like, "Uh.....no."  And was like "alright! i'll play it in just a few minutes."  And then like I said, the intro played, and he was said, "um, ok!  Nevermind!  Let's listen to something else!" lol
