As for the album, Universal probably doesn't want to take an official stance on it, until they have it in their hand and the right publicity is launched to promote it.

Settle down. They probably meant Dizzy as the Legend mentioned above. It's not like GNR has members with a bunch of simple names. Axl, Izzy, Dizzy, Bumblefoot, Duff, Slash, Brain, Buckethead. Not your typical names.

Its listed as unconfirmed, because it is!! Once it's confirmed, EVERONE will know  :beer:

since today is the first official business day after january 6 th , could things start to be rolling ?Axl did say about 8 weeks

Well, I'm not gonna cry about it if it's only a few weeks after the March 6 tentative date. We're so close, that's no big deal. But if this goes on into May, we've got problems I think.

I was thinking the same thing.  I would think Universal would not list a tentative date but rather wait for a firm release date.  Until then it would be unconfirmed.

If it is to be released in the first week of March 6 we should have confirmation well before February. And if there's going to be a lead single, which in the UK now usually comes out two weeks before the album, it should be on the radio by now, so presumably there won't be one. Either that or Axl's forgotten to tell us some bad news...

Until the final album is officially turned over to the record company - everything else at this point can still be considered unconfirmed.  The album has to be in the record companies hands first before the distributor (Universal) gets wind of it.
