Title: Brazilian "Gunner Convention 2007"(*UPDATED W/ PICS AND VIDEOS*) Post by: Pinball Wizard on January 07, 2007, 05:52:08 PM Hey people! The "GN'R Devotion Fan Club", the website "Best of GN'R" (http://www.bestofgnr.cjb.net), the board "Perfect Crime" (http://www.perfectcrimegnr.com) and Myself are organizing the second edition of the "Gunner Convention". Here's a little release of the event (sorry about my english :-\):

Fans from different places gathered togheter in Rio de Janeiro at a celebration to Guns N? Roses; with a lot of live music and even a video message sent by GN'R's ex-guitarrist, Slash. For it's second edition, at 21st and 22nd of July/2007, in S?o Paulo, the Gunner Convention will have, once again, the cover band "The Best GN?R Cover" performing the classics that made GN'R the most dangerous band on earth. The second edition will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the best Hard Rock albuns ever, "Appetite for Destruction". An albun that shows everything that Guns N' Roses are, and to pay tribute to those that the most influenced GN'R's music, we will have the band "Fever" - Aerosmith Cover - to represent GN'R's biggest influence. Just like the first edition in 2003, a new GN'R cover band will debut at a big GN'R releated event. In 2003 it was "The Best GN'R Cover"'s turn, now we will give a chance to another GN'R cover band to be known at Gn'R's fanbase. An audition is being done to find this band, and as soon as the band is choosen, their name will be added to the bill. Since 2007 seems to be the year of "Chinese Democracy", the band "The best New GN'R cover" will pay tribute to the new incarnation of Guns N' Roses. Formed with members of "The Best GN'R Cover", this band will play the new tunes, as well as the classics that the new band plays. And it doesn't end here! Eduardo Mota, the famous Slash Clone, will create a band with professional musicians to play several songs from several artists that influenced GN'R. The convention will take place at the Blackmore Rock Bar(www.blackmore.com.br) in July 22nd. Tickets already on sale right in the Blackmore's for R$ 15,00. Bands playing: Burning Roses, The Best NEW GN'R Cover, Fever(Aerosmith Cover) and The Best Guns N' Roses Cover.
