That is a sweet looking instrument.

I like Fortus. He played well when I saw GnR, and was the most fun to wathc of the new lineup I thought.

Will have to check out Love Spit Love.

I believe it was a song on some film soundtrack or something. The track also featured ODB if my memory serves me correctly.

both of you are wrong to a degree and right to a degree.

All three guitarists play lead.  They all have a different style.

The "main lead" is Robin. ;)

but seriously, there is no real MAIN lead ... since none of them are just limited to a few lines here and there ... they all play significant amounts of lead.

So no... they're all lead.  Simple as that.

Hmm.. Who plays solos in every new song played live last year besides Madagascar (even tho he has a big role)? ;)

And Richard is not the best writer, IMO. Robin is, by far. Also, Robin joined the band before the others, so maybe he has more spot light because of that too.

You don't know enough about Robin or Richards writing credits so I don't know where you're info is coming from ...

Personally, I think Richard is the better guitarist ... lead wise, he rips Robin a new hole everytime ... that said ... Robin's new work on There Was a Time is some of the nicest guitar I've heard.

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years and I am pretty sure I know a good guitar player ... however, don't take me saying Richard is better to mean me saying Robin is crap.  Because while I stand by my comments about Robin butchering most of the old stuff and making a mockery of it, his new work is very good.

I was just saying my opinion. I've been playing for 12 years, so I think I know a good guitar player too. :P

Seriously, they all play lead, but Richard is definitely my favorite ... he mixes technical with melody better than the other two in my opinion.... Robin doesn't have the technical chops to do what Richard does, and Bumblefoot doesn't have the creative spark... I think Richard encompasses both brilliantly.
