Title: Live Era, "It's So Easy" question.
Post by: Drew on December 27, 2006, 10:18:11 AM
Can anyone tell me what the noise is at the very beginning of "It's So Easy" off of Live Era?

My brother says it's Axl or another member saying "Hit it!", but I always thought it was feedback or a cord stroke from the Slash/Izzy/Gilby. Does anyone know what it is? Thank you for your help. :)

In my ears it's always been "idiot".

Which is actually very strange considering it follows Axls plead to the fans to take a step back in Nightrain.

Idiot, eh? That's pretty good. I'll listen some more and see if I can hear that. ;D

"It's So Easy" comes after "Mr. Brownstone" though. ;)

Thank  you for replying Polluxlm.

I agree with your brother. I've never even considered it to be something else, but I guess you could be right.

as far as i know its from paris 92' and its the opening song,  if you look at the dvd footage there is nothing to suggest that axl says anything apart from singing the song.......... i? could be wrong
some of the songs on live era were also edited, so are different from the actual perfomances

like i said, they fucked about with the tracks and edited them so they sound different from the actual gigs

it could be "tune in" "hit it" "kiddin" "if you need it"

those 4 i can think of even though some wouldn't fit to the subject if yo know what i mean :hihi:

I always thought it was Axl saying "Hit it," in a kind of strange voice.

It's Axl, saying, "Hit it".  Like, start the song......

yeh it is...cos he asks the crowd to step back..then says .....''thank-you...hit it!''

I always assumed it was 'hit it' as well.

if you listen to it on high volume and the like 3 first seconds on repeat it sounds like maybe tune in or hit it and i think both of those would work : ok:

It's gotta be idiot. He clearly says either idi-it or hiti-it. The mocking tone in his voice suggests that it's not an order to the crew, so it's most likely idiot.

And it's in no way connected to the speach he's got at the end of Brownstone, that was from a different show.

I always thought that he said Hit it, would be the most logical option imo

its Axl saying "hit it",,,he still does that before some songs....usually after he is done lecturing the crowd

It's definitely Paris '92. I've got Live Era & the Paris '92 video & audio boot. It's definitely from Paris.

By the way, it's also definitely, "hit it".

listening to it right now, I'd say it was "Hit It".  The way he says it sounds a bit weird, but i'm fairly positive...
