Axl Gets Bach record deal?

(antiMusic) Did Axl get Sebastian Bach a record deal for Christmas? At the final stop on the Guns N' Roses tour in Universal City, Ca. Bach joined Axl and the band on stage to duet the GNR classic "My Michelle", while he giving his intro thanks to the crowd, Bach announced that he thinks he got a new "record deal tonight!"

Bach, the former Skid Row frontman, opened the entire tour with his solo band. Axl gave his adopted hometown a great final show of the tour that included a guest appearance from Izzy Stradlin as well as some special Christmas songs during a couple of the solos including Bumblefoot's "Grinch" sing-along.

Axl announced two weeks ago that the long awaited 'Chinese Democracy' CD has a tentative release date in early March.

Thought he already had one?

He used to with spitfire. dont know what happened though. for the past couple of months he said he was talking to a couple of labels for signing him.

Did he have a solo album coming out? was it released?

Bach had mentioned that because of the tour with GNR he had more major label attention so it's not shocking. He was with a small label for his previous recordings if i remember right.

He has a new record coming up called "Angel Down", ans it's supposed to be released early next year

Good news for Baz if it's true...looking forward to more of his new stuff.

I was there when he said it that night - not sure tho - i thought he was just joking around, but maybe not.

why would he be joking?? just wondering??

hes been negotiating with 3major labels since about Mid-October about signing him.. hopefully this time it came through and happened.

hell yeah. i wasnt a skid row fan before this whole chain of events happened. once i heard the trunk interview, i got a hold of some albums and really like a lot of it. another thing i have axl to thank for.

Baz is an amazing singer.  I was really amazed that his voice is so preserved after all these years.  I remember seeing him with Skid Row back in 1990 and 16 years later he still can hit every note he did back then.

I can't wait to hear his new music!  Especially "By Your Side" in a polished studio version!

If touring with GNR has helped him get the label attention he deserves, even better!

Baz is the fountain of youth.  I can't wait for You Don't Understand.

I'm glad Axl and Baz are friends again.  They're always looking out for each other, awwwwwwwww...... ;D

Baz needs to get Axl something BIG for Christmas, like... Maria.

No seriously, I love Baz and loved his opening sets, but let's be honest, Baz would be draining oil pans if it wasn't for Axl.

Honestly, even though I loved that new ballad he'd been playing with his solo band, I think even now, without Guns N' Roses, Baz doesn't really have a spotlight. The interest just isn't there...

Interesting: Metal Mike(baz guitarist) just added Warner Music to his site.. perhaps baz has signed with Warner music :hihi:

He signed to Sanctuary Management in late August.

NO, he USED TO have a record deal with spitfire records. He recorded his cd in June before the GNR tour in Europe.(he still has to finish some vocals/solos up in Janruary).

in September/october he lost his record deal wtih spitfire but also got some major label interest. So he was negotiating with some labels since October..

He hasnt officially announced who his new record deal is with..But ive "heard" its Rhino who is owned by Warner music with bands like Queensryche, Sammy Hagar etc.


He hasnt put out his solo album yet.. hes been looking for a label to release it on. : ok:

Last month Baz stopped here in Hartford for an interview and accoustic set in Hartford CT.  he also played the Webster (small rock club) that night, which was an off day from the GNR tour.  The day before the worcester date.  On the radio he was talking about how he thinks that cd's are a thing of the past, and the sales just arnt there.  He talked about how he is looking at all the options for releasing his album, and different ways to get his music out to the fans. 


             unrelated : his accoustic live broadcast of "by yor side" was amazing.  So good that he added it to his myspace page.

Other than iTunes/downloading & CD's, what else is there?
