Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Well most of us have opened our presents now so did anyone get a GN'R related christmas present. Me well i got a GN'R christmas tree decoration and some GN'R boxer shorts so i was impressed. 

I got the ornament a few weeks ago as a present!

I got a drawing of Axl Rose's face. Oh my lord. Gorgeous.
And I got the drinking glasses from Spencers.
My friend got coasters, a clock, and pajamas pants. I bought her shot glasses too.

Well, I guess so, I got money from my parents to buy a couple of Gilby's soloalbums (they couldn't find them anywhere)..

Nah, no GN'R related gift, but got a hi-fi that lets me play ipod on it so more GN'R all round in my house!

My mom got me the Appetite For Destruction boxer shorts as a gag gift.  ;D

Yes!  I got some red pajama pants with black Guns N' Roses printed all over them.  Official stuff.  Apparently, my bro-in-law's wife found them at Wal-Mart.  Yep, he got a pair too.   :beer:

Just a side-note, it was the 2nd best present for Christmas.  My wife framed something my 3 1/2 year old son wrote with crayon on paper.  He wrote his name Brendan by himself!  He used a capital B then all small letters...I'm very proud.   :love:

Now if I can just buy Chinese Democracy before St. Patrick's Day I'll be a very happy man!

i got a keychain from the UYI tour. it is the circle logo with blood dripping around it. i also have another keychain like it, also sold on the tour and made in the same style except it just spells out Guns N' Roses. it was so awesome, i never saw that gift coming.

G/f got me every GNR cd-- I had them all, but they were fairly old and pretty scratched up after much use.  That, along with a watch and a sirius indoor docking set kicked ass!

From my husband:  Whiskey plaque, and bar glasses, and had front row seats to Vegas, but guess I'll just have to spend the money on something else, and I would have gladly given up the show for the album, so no I am not pissed, looking forward to March.

Got a nice GnR leather wallet. Got my boy Guitar Hero 2 ( talk about a fun game!! ). I also got another shirt.

I didn't think i'd get as addicted to it as I have. I think it'd be an alright game and fun for awhile, but I mean I shoved everything aside. You eventually get determined to kick that game's ass. You also gotta get it with the guitar. I have the guitar controller, and it's 150x more fun! I remember playing the original Guitar Hero with just a PS2 controller, and I thought it was average. The guitar controller makes it.

I never knew you could play it with the PS2 controller, weird. I have two guitars now, one from the first game, and the new red one. Its a very addictive game  :peace:

I heard it was going to come out on Xbox 360  eventually as well.

It has to come out on X360. It's been a huge seller on PS2. It was one of the hottest items this Christmas nationwide.

OH man, I can only do medium..I am working my way up to hard.   This is harder in general then GH1, I could atleast do some songs on hard on that.   I can't even think about expert :no:

I can't touch expert, either...even being able to work my way through 5 stars on hard songs.  It's just too freaking fast for me to keep up.

It's funny, though.  You play on hard, and then go back to medium (build up some cash), and it almost feels like you're playing in slo-mo.

got the calendar.  but like was said in an earlier post, bity disappointed it was only the old members of the band.  hopefully next year there'll be an official calendar with the new guys.  also my missus picked me up a 7" record with jumpin' jack flash on one side and heartbreak hotel on the other, along with a new copy of the greatest hits album because my first copy was scrathed to bits and didn't play right because i had played it so much

Hey !!  Hope I'm not butting in, but I am laughing right now about my own experience so far with GHII, first off I don't own the first one, secondly I am not into this type of shit at all, I was so uncoordinated in the beginning It was endless laughter, and just when I was giving up, I slowly started getting it.  Heart Shaped Box, was my biggest challenge for some reason in the begining, and am only just gonna move on to medium today, wish me luck, hee hee!!  P.S.  I don't like admitting this, but this is a very addicting.

It's a very addictive game. I mastered easy, but am struggling with medium. This game is harder to play the songs, than on a real guitar. The game doesn't seem to recognize sliding your fingers very well, which makes hitting multiple chords in a quick amount of time hard as hell. Real guitars don't have this problem.

I know it.  Easy isn't even an option now, medium seems slow after hard but easy is like ludicrous slow. 

Wow, thats the 1st I have ever heard this.  I don't know how to play real guitar so I wouldn't know.  I can get 4 stars regularly on most of the hard songs, 5 stars once in a while.  I can get 5 stars on scom regularly (because I play it so much, and it was the reason I got into the game).  I am not going to bother with expert.  Right now I am working on busting moves, as I got the wireless guitar for xmas.  Flying around and acting like an ass while playing is half the fun. 

I almost have SCOM down on expert, I can play the intro perfect and the verses, but I screw it up at the choruses and parts of the solo.  >:(

I was at one of my favorite boutiques today, and the store owner gave me this beautiful GNR poster that he had laminated! He said that I was a bigger fan than him so he wanted me to have it! I was so touched! As I was walking down Clark Street, people were so jealous!

No GnR gifts...

I used the record store vouchers I got to buy a Little Axe album, a Drive-By Truckers Live DVD and the Martin Scorcese Blues Documentary set.

However, the UYI2 guitar tab book I ordered from Amazon arrived a week before Christmas, so that was cool.  :)

My brother got me a gnr air freshener for my car. and my friend got me a shirt. my best friend and I, for our christmas presents to each other, bought each other tickets to the oakland show.

My Grandma had a Gn'R hoodie custom made for me with "Guns N' Roses: World Tour 2006" on the front, and on the back it has a huge picture of Axl at the 2002 VMA's holding the really high note during Paradise City ;D

I got a GnR t-shirt.  Its the one with the skull wearing the blue bandanna tied around its head, and the two guns.  For those of you that remember, we used to call it the GnR Flag design.  it was also on the back of (i believe axl's) leather jacket.

I received the 2007 calendar in our Secret Santa thingy at work.  Will probably leave it on April all year.   ;)

But the best thing will be the Manchester show my sister's downloaded for me (I'm still on 18th century dial-up!) for my birthday tomorrow.  I'm praying that listening to that will make the drive to work on Wed just a tad more bearable; shame I can't listen to it during the day while I'm working too.   :(

Oh and now we've finally got to 2007 - Happy New Year to all my fellow happy GNR campers, hope you're not too hungover and I'm looking forward to meeting up with some of you again when Guns return this side of the pond.
