November Rain Vs Estranged

So what do you people think is the better of these two classic songs?

that's like choosing between your left or right testacle!

Commercialism blows, but I love ?November Rain?, but I'll choose the less appreciated masterpiece that is ?Estranged?.

Slash's ending solo alone is enough to make NR the winner.

Estranged,i agree with the guy that said it before me,commercialism blows...most of Guns N' Roses best songs(in my opinion of course becausse we all know music is subject to opinion  :) )were the ones that werent huge hits.... im not saying like..sweet child n paradise city n all that are bad songs,im saying they were huge and were played alot...Estranged wasn't a greatest hit like November Rain,...Slash's First solo in the song is amazing n maybe its just me but the guitar is way clearer on Estranged.....anyways to sum this all up(my apologies for ranting and going off topic)I Like Estranged more,...Which ones actually better....who can really say

I'm partial to November Rain for purely personal and subjective reasons.

Not to mention I prefer to think of Axl on on stage in a theater and Slash soloing in the desert outside of a church rather than Axl jumping off a carrier ship and swimming with dolphins...

Truth be told, I'd take "Don't Cry" over either of them.    :hihi:

I think they recorded november rain wrong, it should have been more stripped back with more emphasis on the piano, still a great song though. Actually i think the recording of estranged could have been better aswell, Matts drums are far to loud, as they are on most of the songs on the illusion records.

i think there both FANTASTIC songs!!! but i would have to choose estranged, after all i remember watching (or reading), something when axl said that he didnt like november rain and it didnt turn out the way he wanted it too, but in the sleeve of the UYI albums axl thanked slash for his guitar solos on estranged, so i think even axl himself would choose estranged over november rain :-\

Can't really choose between these two, but when I first heard the ending solo by Slash on November Rain I thought that must be how the devil plays guitar. I hope that makes sense...? ?:peace:

Holy shit! That's a toughie! I genuinely LOVE both songs. Epics in every sense and meaning of the word. If push came to shove and I was forced to pick, I'd have to pick "Estranged". I truly love both, but "Estranged" is kind of my designated song for when I'm feeling down. I listen to it when I'm happy too, but I don't know. It's one of the most beautiful songs ever written!

Hmm..I'm a sucker for guitar solos all the way..I like the one in November Rain better..However, in the "bigger picture"..I like Estranged better..the lyrics suit me more
