Seeing GNR here will be a dream! It is an awesome way to see a band. There really isnt a bad seat here. Shit you not. If I can get a ticket, which I will try my ass off to get, I will be here in a fucking second. There is bars galore in City Walk, the sound at the ampitheater is always great, shit being a 40 minute drive from me doesn't hurt. But yea, this will be an amazing place to see GNR. I hope you fuckers can make it to this show. It will kick much ass. City Walk though sometimes trendy, is a great place to hangout at for a day/night. Lots of shit to see and do there. Parking cost some money but the place has some cool places.

If any of you have any questions about this place, let me know. I have been here a bunch of times.

FUCK ME!!! Didnt even realize this shit was actually on sale (Andrea actually found out and got them). Err.... anyway got 2 tickets so Im going...but not the best seats. So me and Andrea will be going the Sundays show. I wanted the floor, and it was already sold out. Whatever Im going so shit...Im going to go celebrate some more (been doing lots for GNR lately...awesome!)

Universal all the way!  It has the best acoustics, and it's much more intimate.  Not a bad seat in the house.

Not to mention all the crazy pre and post parties. ;)

Universal will be the one to go to people, smaller venue, great sound. its gonna rule.

it sucks but its out of our control man.  at venues like this i've never been able to get pit tickets through the regular ticketbastard site.
too many people with connections get them or the venue sets a ton of them aside usually.. they will be hard to come by.  sometimes they will release some close to the show date though.

I would LOVE to go to the shows here, but them being the days of the week they are, it just wouldn't work for me. I am going to Reno now since Bakersfield got rescheduled to a Thursday night.....and I will go to Minneapolis or Fargo it they play there and if those are on a Friday or a Saturday. And I am praying for a New Years Eve Vegas date.

i haven't been there in a while.. are there any other better bars? sometimes the hard rock is so packed that its hard to get seats.

Let's make reservations for the Hard Rock...like the boys in NY did for Mustang Harry's.  Once they get tired of us an kick us out, there are dozens of other options.  But the Hard Rock sounds good to me, I can never get tired of looking at Axl's white Paradise City jacket....

I hope the sound is good on the sides. I'm in section 23, so I'm all the way to the left of the stage. This'll be my first time at Gibson Amp. despite having lived here for almost 3 years.

The sound was awesome at every show there I have been to. First time I saw NIN, I was in the lodge all the way on the left, and the sound was great. I dont think any of us will be disappointed.

All those trying to get tickets to this show... remember that KROQ is presenting it.. so they'll likely hold tickets just like they did for Inland Invasion.

Either way.. I doubt it'll sell out.. so I'll be there no matter what.. just.. not sure where I'll be sitting. Haha.

I called KROQ like 57 times in the 4 weeks leading to Inland and could never be their caller number 20. Finally, ticketmaster came to help with pit tickets a few hours before the show.
The point being, you probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than winning something from KROQ. It broadcasts in an 8 millon people metropolitan area, plus online..

as far as i recall the pit is very small.. if you get in there you'll be set!!  100-200 max

Looking like an alien mantis, jaws parted as if to bite the head off a giant fly, Rose disdained credibility at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday night while injecting further histrionic fizz into the vocal melodies of turn-of-the-'90s GNR ballads such as the buoyant "Sweet Child O' Mine" and the tenderly overfragranced "November Rain"; if he had ever drawn genuine emotion from his weeper repertoire (doubtful), those days were dust. Still, a creepy artificial buzz always rewards the absorption of Rose's headlong muggery, and when he had nothing in mind but rocking his butt off ("It's So Easy," "You Could Be Mine") and polluting his liver ("Mr. Brownstone," "Nightrain"), he took everybody along on his ambulance joyride.

Pyrotechnic heat you could actually smell fired up a two-plus-hour Rose set calibrated like a Rolls engine. The pistons were a seven-piece backup band, cranked by bearded ax mechanic Robin Finck and calculated to appear even slicker by contrast with a weary and spectacularly out-of-tune Izzy Stradlin, former rhythm guitarist of the "classic" GNR, who was dragged onstage for several songs. Ingenious instrumental breaks served to pace the proceedings and revive demand for additional Axl shriekery. And a number of impressive unreleased selections ? including the ramped-up "IRS," the drifting "Madagascar" and the chop-riffing "Chinese Democracy" ? augured well for Guns N' Roses' upcoming album, whose endless postponement recently cracked a rift with the band's management. (The group canceled its remaining tour dates after the three Gibson shows to focus on finishing "Chinese Democracy," now targeted for release March 6, according to GNR's official website.)

At the 2 a.m. curtain call, Rose said he'd soldier onward for the fans despite the dirt bag write-ups he always gets. And so he should.

Sebastian Bach, the finest microphone twirler of his generation, warmed up the stage with reckless rockers ("Piece of Me") and prom ballads ("I Remember You") from his Skid Row heyday circa 1990, plus some homicidal new numbers. More than an MTV clown, the lanky Bach is a radiant entertainer; his animalistic screams and party attitude spawned grins while muscly guitarist Metal Mike Chlasciak (formerly of Halford) shredded manfully.

The night's darkest moods were the gift of Helmet, whose "Monochrome" CD this year announced a return to the artistic spikes of its platinum early '90s. Gaunt, buzz-cut Page Hamilton's grating yet melodic singing, contemptuous lyrics, gut-gouging riffs and twisted guitar solos rocked metal-hard and punk-furious.

The L.A. chapter of the nationwide art-sleaze phenomenon Suicide Girls opened, gyrating and undressing to Zep and Prince soundtracks within cinematic conceptual frameworks. The longtime link between metal and strippers: not broken yet.

I was never a big IRS, Madagascar, or Blues fan until last night. Axl/the band won me over with those songs after they fell flat on me at Inland Invasion, which made me happy and I'm looking forward to the album even more now. Too bad I don't write for a newspaper.
