I would have loved to catch the Mic when I saw them live but I was too close to the stage and it looked like someone near the middle of GA caught it, hope the dude got to keep it and the security didn't take it.

The guy doesn't have ANY transactions with EBAY so I wouldn't even bother with bidding. $25.00 for shipping and there is no way in hell it would cost that much. Fuck, insurance on it would only be like a dollar. Plus if you look at the mic someone posted in the main forum, that one had tape around it for Axl to hold onto. This one has like a rubber grip or something on it. I'm not saying it's not his mic but I wouldn't even take a chance for a grand.

Even if it is truly Axl's mic...I would never buy it. It would have no meaning to me unless I was the person who caught it. Same thing with Autographs....unless it's to me personally, then it has no value. Of course I would LOVE to catch a mic though, just like anyone would, i can't belevie someone would sell it.

My guess is that the guy simply bought it from the shop.  This auction appeared not long after someone else posted on HTGTH showing the microphone they caught at a recent concert.  Included in the thread was the exact model number etc of the microphone.  The seller has these details listed in the item description.

Obviously it could be legit, but it looks like too much of a coincidence that this listing appears about a day after the thread on HTGTH.

It's actually pretty common knowledge that Axl uses Shure Beta 58M, he has been for years.

I know he has used Shure Beta microphones for years (I still remember a classic ad back in the early 90's for them. it said "Shure Microphones - Axl swears by them"! and there was a picture of him in full flight singing).  Anyhow, all I am saying is that whilst I may know what he uses "Joe Average" looking to make a quick buck doesn't necessarily follow them down to the detail of knowing what sort of equipment they use.  It just seems all too convenient, the other poster showing their prize from the recent concert on HTGTH then this one for sale.

But hey, that's just my opinion!

I have a Shure wireless mic and it doesn't have the 'tail' on it.

I know, but the mic has been on eBay for 6 days prior to me posting it. It was a 7 day auction.

yea, but in the other pics of axl's mic they have 'tails'

by studying pictures of axl's mic in 2006 pictures it has more lines down at the bottom, no red tape, and a little rubber thing on the end of it.  also the rubber handgrip is not so big.  i for sure think this is a scam
