Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Tour Ends very soon and Axl cancelled all shows after the new year. Now the question is where do we go now. He states an album date but the time frame from the last show till then is huge. Will they keep rolling in South America or something now or will they shutter down and tour on the album in march.

i think they'll start touring again in march at the dubai festival. wasn't this concert in the works when merk was still around?

Dubai has been mentioned in the past, yes. Can't find link but i do remember it.

don't know what they'll do specifically, but hopefully they'll be doing a shit ton of stuff.

as long as they're doing SOMETHING productive and creative, i'm happy.

My Guess is that they will get everything ironed out release the album in March, probaly tour overseas and then tour again in the US this summer that's my prediction.

if the albom realy come out in March as Axl said , I think they will be busy promoting the albom  :-\

I'd like them to come to England again, i want to see them!  But i guess they'll just go around promoting the album, i guess Japan might be on their list of places to visit, and probably NZ/Australia.

I'd guess that they'll do the bulk of the promotion that the band is actively involved in (magazine interviews and such) in the weeks leading up to the release. Unless (or even if) they do a few live performances for tv shows, I don't see why they couldn't be on the road again by the end of March. 

If they plan to hit the festival circuit again, then they'd be in Europe at the beginning of the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if the touring schedule from this year is similar to what happens next year (with less appauling scheduling for the US leg.)

even though i'm european i would like to see a south american tour, for some reason i think they are the most loving and loyal gn'r fans and is the happiest about gn'r :yes:

i hope that they come to south america, mostly for brazil :P

somehow i figure they'll be in the US during the release of the album, seeing as thats the place they most likey want to promote it the most. with appearances on late night television like almost every other musical artist these days, maybe even some award shows.

I kinda feel the same way too. Plus I've never seen GNR in the summer so I'd love them to be here around that time.

Maybe at least shake it up a bit this time. Start in the US then head overseas.

From what band members have stated it sounds like they would like to go back over to Europe in the Summer.  However I would think the Winter is better for Europe as it is warmer.  I was shocked to see GnR come up to Canada on this tour durning the winter months.   I also hope to see more Canadian dates in 2007.  Considering how well the shows sold with out any real promotion or new albulm the next time round the shows will be sold out in 48 hrs or less I suspect. 
Also they did not play in B.C. or Sask this time round. 

It appears GnR' will go back into the studio for the month of January to finalize the album. GnR' will hopefully release the album in March and start touring again at that time.

I'm a little worried that if GnR' take a break for January & February they may go on a break for a few years. Let's hope all goes well in January. : ok:

i think after the 2006 tour they will finish chinese democracy, when march comes it will be released and if they have not planned dates already they will after the release.  didnt richard say they were going to tour asia or something next?

But in that period its summer in Australia and that part of the world..

Don't know what Richard was saying, but i think Merck said that they'll do Dubai, just before the album is on stores.

With 'libertad' being planned for May hopefully this will get Axl's arse in gear.

They will another tour after the release...And I expect single and video before that. Or at least I hope so...

I just hope there doing the european curcuit again next summer because I could only see one amazing show last time...... id take next summer off work to follow them if they came back  : ok:

AND I hope, Libertad is waaaaaay better than Contraband was (which I see as a definite possibility). How cool would it be, to get TWO GNRish albums in one half year?!

Shooting 3 or 4 videos, doing countless interviews, photo-shoots and rehearsing for a new set drawing heavily from the new album. That should keep them busy.  ;D

I hope they are:
getting a new manager in place
Working out all contracts
Finishing 'final' CD details
 
I hope they are working with a manager and the record company on the promotion package details
and handing over CD in time for the company to get it out by March. Once they hand it to the record company they can also then, during the 8 week roll-out plan, finish up videos, schedule appearances etc........

I will be worried if a new manager is not in place very soon as the manager has a lot to do with this part of the process.....I have not heard anything on that though. If there is no new manager in place I can see that slowing up everything else I mentioned above and possibly effecting the March release date.

Anyway, they have plenty to do, it's crunch time!

Fully agreed with this.  There is "business" to which they must tend at this time.  Nothing will happen from tonight until  after New Year's.  Like everyone else, they deserve a vacation, time with their families, etc.  Let's hope to hear some buzz in mid-January.  Then a single release sometime in February.  From there we should see promotional activity everywhere and probably some leaked songs.

What's next?

Take a break to finalize the release of Chinese Democracy (single, video, CD mass production, etc.). Release the album in march 2007 I guess and then tour the fuck out of it for the next year.
