they split coz the guitarist didn't like fame

they probably split cos they realised they were utterly shite.

without any disrespect to the above posters cos each of us is diferrent and entitled to like what they like, but this band doesnt deserve a mention on a gnr board if you ask me.lol!

they are not one hit wonders, they were a band with depth and a history.  the guitarist split cuz of fame and i read somewhere he did not like how the media treated darren hayes.  i do think a lot of their songs are really good tho, and i like a ton of different music (well not really its basically just rock and those other good bands like depeche mode).

Who the hell are Savage Garden?  It sounds vaguely familiar, but they must not have been that worthwhile.

This band was horrible Lol. They took their name from a sick book, now it's runied. Could have been an awesome name for a metal band or something.  :P

Too cheesy, too unoriginal. Like D said, they lost me with Animal song. The first album had a very unique sound, a cool mixture of rock and pop, but then it became pathetic. For example, Truly madly Deeply is a great love song, but I knew I loved you before I met you is a big cheesefest
