I live about 50 miles from Nashville, but don't know much about the area around Gaylord other than there are plenty of places to eat and stay.? There is a shuttle service around town as well, but you need to check on the times of operation for Sunday.?

Could someone be so kind and help me figure out a way to purchase a ticket for the Nashville concert.

I live outside the U.S (In Venezuela - South America) and Iam travelling to the U.S for this concert, however I cannot purchse the ticket online from the ticketmaster web page, as we have currency exchange controls therefore our credit cards are not accepted overseas right now.

I have a friend who lives in Connecticut and could purchase the ticket online with his credit card, but I think that by doing so the ticket will be issued under his name and i wouldnt be able to use it right?

I guess my question is, if someone purchases the ticket in the U.S  online via credit card for me, does that mean that the ticket issued and sent will have that person's name on it?  Or is it a standard ticket that anybody holding can use?  Im not sure if they would ask for this person's id at the concert to validate that it is the same person that purchased it.

Appreciate if you you can help me out figure out a way to buy the ticket as I know it will be sold out problably soon.. I really want to make sure I attend as I have made my flight reservations already!!!!!

it shouldn't be a problem.   a ticket is a ticket no matter who is holding it.   I bought my ticket for Sunday's vegas show from someone at another board because he needed to unload it.

i'm going! it's gonna be my second time seeing them(i went to the first Hammerstein show). I can't wait! I live two and a half hours away but it'll be well worth it, especially since i'm going to see Motley Crue and Aerosmith that same week.

And while I don't have any facts...from what I can tell tickets aren't moving very quickly at all. Which is fine by me...but anyways, I don't know for sure, that's just my assumption. 8)

I am there with 4 friends coming along. None are fans so I hope it delivers. Last I checked tickets are selling like shit and this worries me. I am  sure it will all work out though. We need to get a after party going 4 sure.

I too am going and was wondering if there would be a pre or post show party somewhere close to the venue to attend.  Any good bars around the arena?  It's less than two weeks to the show we need to get something planned. :beer:

hey,was searching bars on citysearch,came up with Broadway Brewhouse/Mojo's Grill ( 1900 Broadway.cross street 19th Ave) seems a few blocks away? the GEC is 501 Broadway,also Bailey's which is a sports bar with pool tables. I'm wondering if the radio station 102.9 the buzz is going to be doing anything. i'll check on that,but alas i have to go to work,so i'll get back to y'all.? am going to Nashville tonight to see a friends band play,will try to drive around Broadway and see whats close to the GEC,and get opinions from people. seems alot of the bars are country. LoL go figure.? :smoking:

I for one am getting a bit nervous that we just might be next in line for rescheduling.  For those of you living in the Nashville area, are the advertising this concert much (radio or tv), any word on ticket sales?  I'd love to believe this will be first date on the tour, but I doubt I'll be able to breath easy until I'm having drinks with all of ya'll before the show. :beer:

how do you know it's postponed? I know it says it at the opening page but the official website, ticketmaster, and the venue's website still say it's on the 22nd.

maybe not though, i think the reason they changed the jacksonville date was so they wouldn't be going from florida to tennessee then back to florida. it makes more since to put the florida dates together so there's no reason for them to reschedule nashville.

they are still selling tix for this one for the 22nd on tm. also, the venue site still has it listed for the 22nd. if its really changed, they really shouldnt be selling tix for the 22nd.

This is the email I recieved from Ticketmaster about an hour and a half ago. I emailed them to ask about the postponment.

Thank you for contacting us. Guns N Roses for Sunday, October 22, 2006, at the Gaylord Center at 8:00 p.m. has not been postponed.

I also bought a ticket to the Nashville concert on the 22nd and hope its still on.. I am quite worried by this announcement and emailed ticketmaster and this is the response I got from them:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding Guns N' Roses at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. At this time, we have not received official word from the promoter that the event has been cancelled. When we receive confirmation that the event has been cancelled, and that refunds will be issued, we will post the information immediately on our website"

I am traveling all the way from Venezuela (South America) for the show during my vacations, therefore I would be pissed if it gets cancelled 2 days before the show.

Jarmo, do you have a source for this cancellation news?   Because Ticketmaster denies its cancelled, and The GunsNRoses.com page only shows that the Jacksonville show was postponed to Oct 31st, but they show Nashville for the 22nd still.

Would really appreciate a feedback to know what to do here..

Im not sure that ticketmaster does refunds or exchange tickets,, I would have to try to accomodate my trip to go to a concert in anohter U.S city.

When was this announced? Was it the same day as the Flordia show was postponed? Because what i dont understand is there is no official site that has announced it. Ticketmaster and gunsnroses.com have updated the date for the Flordia show but Nashville remains as still on. Ive checked GNR,Papa Roach and Sebastian's website and there all still the same.

I hope we get more information today, I hope to god that it's still on because January is a horrible month for travel, It's a very wintery month and i have to drive 5 hours from my location here in kentucky, It sucks to hear this.

I don't think many people doubt jarmo when it comes to anything related to GNR tours and promotion.

I think with the overall lack of communication from the GnR camp, anybody would be skeptical of any information not released directly by GnR management or Axl himself.  I don't think it was anything personal.

I have never doubted jarmo.. he's been in the GnR community longer than any of us..

However, it shouldn't have taken three days for management to get their assess off and actually call TM and the venue AFTER they had decided to postpone this show as well. I am very disappointed personally.

If you were refering to me as one of the doubters of Jarmo then read my post about the nashville show. i wasnt doubting jarmo or his credibilty i was just reporting what they told me. i was getting told some other info and was just trying to hold out some hope that it might be true. was jarmo right? of course :hihi:

It's still unnerving that Ticketmaster has the date listed for 10/22. For people that hang around the boards it won't be an issue, but I feel sorry for the people that don't hang around the boards, and who bought tickets over the weekend or today, but still don't know.

You can just call Ticketmaster and they will process your refund. You don't need an e-mail, your order number will be the same. I found this out when I cancelled my Jacksonville tickets.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that it seems management even gave Jarmo the run around a bit.? I think they told him a press release would be on last Friday. Maybe there are some more reschedulings and they are waiting to lump them all in one press release? Who knows. I feel bad for people who are still buying tickets to the Nashville show, hopefully they will update the websites asap.

Well if you actually want to see the band in January I don't see why you would ask for a refund now and have someone else buy your tickets and then you regret it later.  If the show actually got cancelled in the future you would still be able to get your money back the same way.

Nashville was finally taken off gunsnroses.com. The site makes a comment about the Jacksonville, but no word on the new nashville date.

I wasn't that sold on going in the first place, but figured I owed it to myself to check them out since they were close enough. ?Now I get a weekend in Nashville (prepaid the hotel for a better price) with nothing else to do but hang at Dave and Buster's (which is ok too I guess, but not as cool as seeing Axl). ?I will probably wait a little bit and make a decision in a few weeks. ?If CD is out and I like it, I will go for sure, if it isn't out, I will likely stay away. ?I don't see much chance of it coming out and not liking it, though I guess it's possible.

Jarmo, do you have any idea when the new date is for nashville, Ticketmaster told me it has a chance of being cancelled, but that was some kid, probablly was speculating. If I knew for sure I would try to get tickets for WV.

Ticketmaster operators arent by any means a source for info for the GNR shows. They deal with hundreds of events. The guy I delt with wasnt aware of the Jax show being moved ( it was on TM's web site). Then he recalled taking 5 calls regarding the moved show. I wouldnt base any plans on the speculation of a TM rep. Their most reliable source is their web site ( believe it or not)

i wonder if this means they will have some other band opening besides Papa Roach? (i hope,i Hope) seriously,i would rather see a different band opening.just Not in any way Hoobastank. i Loathe them. I got my refund this morning.  Lets try to communicate with each other and get the best tickets for the reschedule.

Call 615-255-9600 to have the credit card used to purchase the tickets credited.

What the hell? the venue site says the concert will be held on a future date, but the date is not given. gunsnroses.com simply removed the date from the tour list. ticketmaster still has it listed as 10/22 but you can't buy tickets. I emailed Gaylord (the venue) and their reply was "you know as much as we do". So i guess GNR communicates with their venues about as well as they communicate with fans. All I want to know is when I am going to get to see GNR in concert.

I want to hear/read two dates from Axl/Merck: The makeup date for NAshville and the release date of CD!

me and two of my friends had front row for this show, and just yesterday we got a refund!  We was going to hold on to them , but my buddy needed the money, and im going to chicago, but not as good as seats!   the guy at ticketmaster nashville told us that it doesnt look like they are going to re-schedule anytime soon  :(  so we gave them up

Seriously, somebody needs to let people know what is going on with this concert! We were supposed to see them more than a month ago. I'm tired of getting the run around. I call the Gaylord Entertainment Center and Ticketmaster all the time and they say the same damn thing everytime...it is going to be rescheduled, but we don't know when. Does anybody know when? Anybody? Are there no insiders connected to GNR's management or tour scheduling team that can give us some indication of what is going on? I want answers and I want them NOW! i was checking my bank account a couple days ago,and there was a deposit from ticketmaster.unlooked for and unasked for by me. LoL i swear i was disappointed to see extra money in my account,cause it meant that the ticket i had bought was not going to be used. an extra few bucks is always nice,but this time i would have rather it not be there. :-\  oh well,i'm sure i'll see them when they are around again.NY or TN,either way. anyone else had extra money turn up in their account lately ?  or was i the only holdout?  LoL  :smoking:
