Trying to make this a fun thread....

With a couple of weeks left before Christmas, wouldn't it be cool if Axl and the guys slipped in a few holiday songs at their remaining shows before their Christmas break? I think it would be THE BALLS if Axl belted out "Jingle Bell Rock" or "Blue Christmas". It would really be a unique experience for the fans at those shows.

Would anyone else like to see this? What holiday songs would you like to hear them cover?

I wouldn't mind people who do really good vocal impressions of famous rock stars doing an Axl song or two...but a true GNR Christmas album?  Hell no!

He wasn't suggesting a GNR Chritsmas album, just a few covers of xmas songs at the shows. I think it'd be quite funny, they played a few 'British' songs at the Wembley show in July, so a few xmas songs isn't a far fetched idea at all. It definately seems like something the band might do for a bit of fun.

I might be wrong, but I have my sources... I heard GNR canned the whole Chinese Democracy idea and decided to go in a few days before the tour and record a Christmas album that is due out on December 19th.  Just in time for Christmas!

Yeah I just downloaded a copy of it and it's fake as hell.  It doesn't even sound remotely close to Axl at all.  The guitar doesn't sound anything like Slash either.

Stop Messin' Around, Aerosmith did it, although it's very bluesy and probably fits Slash better than Axl.
