Hello All, Very good news to report.

Have offically started preproduction with Producer Brendan OBrien. Who has produced many Hit records. Ala, Incubus, STP , Pearl Jam and The Boss Bruce Springsteen. Things are moving quick now. And we are all very excited. Rome was not built in a day so I believe everyone Will be very happy when its finished.

A lot of bandmate BDAYs This month. Scott, Dave's is today And mine on Sunday the 19th. Would love to thank Sammy, Jul, Chrissie and Tanja for the sweet Birthday card.

Anyway off to rehearsal now, then a gig tonight with Camp Freddy. Hope everyone is healthy and having fun out there.

Hey Friends,

Looks like The Velvet Revolver are finally going to start recording the album.
We have 18 songs ready
And we are all very excited.
Producer Brendan O'Brien
Has been in Preproduction with us at Scotts Lavish studios for the last three weeks.
We have been working 6 days a week, and let me tell you that man has wiped us into shape.
This will be a killer album I promise you.
We are planning to record
Right up to Christmas and then finish up just after the New Year.
Making plans for touring
In the spring.
I know it has takin a little while but Its going ROCK.

Can't wait to get back out on the road with all you great Fans.

Brendan O'Brien is the fucking MAN!!! his work on the STP records was fucking awesome, and i think he produced the recent Audioslave album. things are looking good next year will be very exciting, and wow, 18 songs!!

this is great great news.

So they decided to go in a different direction than Rubin?

I like that idea.

I think it kind of sucks that every rock band wants to go to Rick Rubin now......... Kind of like all the hip hoppers who go to the scott storch's and Neptunes cause its the IN thing.

Yeah, this all sounds pretty promising, I like the fact that from what Matt is saying, Brendan seems to be really pushing the band, and this can only help them to produce a great album! : ok:

Everyone works with Rubin, which is shocking as he actually makes really sterile overly clean sounding mixes. I prefer Andy Wallace mix-wise. Lots of fake dirt without compromising the original sonic composition.

Got to say tho, VR's work with that nu-metal guy was awful. Not compositionally, but in terms of production it was a shoddy effort.

Did O Brien do Korn's albums or am i thinking of somebody else?
