this is the best part of the ride IMO, we know that IF January 01 comes and no word about the album, the midia will be so damn cruel to GNR and Axl that?s almost 0% chance that GNR manager aren?t prepared to say something...

You fixed 'role' to 'roll' before I could say something about it, damn you!!  Ok just kidding... but some people here shouldn't let themselves get so down and depressed that the album isn't out yet because it's still only November.  When January comes and we still don't have an album, you shouldn't be depressed then either because what's another year to wait for an album that's taken 10 to make??  If it doesn't come in 2006 I don't see it coming out in early 2007 at all.  This tour will probably stop once the current dates are played and they'll go back into the studio to have it ready for a mid to late 2007 release.  Then maybe a year from today, we'll be talking about the same thing.

POINT BEING, if it's not 2006 then it won't be early 2007.  Merck and Axl said it would be 2006 and if they let us down, then what would stop them from making us wait any longer??  NOTHING because they know we'll wait because that's what we're good at doing.

Who is this "media" that everyone is always talking about? ?Seriously. ?Everyone always assumes that the "media" is on pins and needles waiting to talk about Chinese Democracy thereby giving them tons of free publicity. ?Or, in this case, there are going to be hundreads of reporters from around the world outside the gates of Axl's mansion waiting to hear a comment as to why CD didn't come out in 06. ?I just don't get it. ?I seriously doubt IF Chinese Democracy comes out that Katie Couric is going to open the CBS Evening News with a top story about a CD coming out.

Great post man. I've got no problem hanging back, going to a few shows, and reading about the others. It's either coming in the next couple of weeks or it isn't. Getting all wigged out won't help a thing.  :beer:

no, the "mIdia" (  ;D ) will write and say shit about the album (not the entire media of course, let?s wait for the reviews) because doesn?t really matter to them if the album is good or not, if its good they will say "Axl need others guys to do what he could do with the old mambers..." and treat CD like the same "joke" they?re treating along this years... if the album is not an new "AFD" accourding to them, they will say "Axl failed, GNR were good back in the days", get it?? the media aren?t waiting GNR to release the album and starts to kissing Axl?s ass... they?re waiting (and believe me, some journalists already had their reviews done) to beggin those bullshit articles about "Axl?s-New-Sound-named-New-Guns N Roses-and-some-hired-musicians"

+1 - there is no way the album is going to get good press. It's a difficult situation.

i spent 03 to half of 06 being calm and relaxing and really not worrying over anything gnr related. but then they came back and promises were made and, you know, part of being a fan is desiring and anticipating new stuff-- if you're a football fan you want football, if you love thomas pynchon you can't wait for the new thomas pynchon book etc-- and this is how rock bands get to be celebrities and millionaires. maybe i can go back to my cave of not caring but it seems like everytime i get out axl suckers me back in. i mean-- the website had videos and articles and ... it's just disappointing. but that's just me and there's no reason why anyone should care about how i feel.

I?m facing like this:

- I?m a fan since 91
- In '97 MTV said that the next GNR album is finished
- '99 comes with an Axl Interview to Lorder saying that he?s working on the next GNR album, working in his way
- ?01 - RIR3 - thw whole world know that Axl is still around and playing
- ' 02 they had fun playing some shows and something happened and they stopeed
- '06 - the band is better than ever, touring and saying that the album will be release this year

something could change, like something changed in ' 02 I guess ... but who do you think that want this to be more perfect than ever?

let?s hope they play something new on the upcoming shows...
