Title: Is it in the stars?
Post by: forgotaboutsteve on November 15, 2006, 07:14:01 PM
Was listening to KROQ in Los angeles today and they had an astrologer on.? Now I don't put much into what they say, but the lady went on to mention that Nov. 21st is considered the luckiest day of this year according to the position of the stars/planets/whatever.? So knowing Axl's love of the Sedona, Arizona area and their notoriety in terms of that kinda mystic, earthy, meditative lifestyle I was just wondering if that date could come into play in terms of when Axl would like the album released.? Just a thought...

Guys, I just looked out of my window, and right next to Ursa major, there was a constellation, which if you look at it a certain way, said GNR! Next to it was another constellation that looked like the Chinese symbol for music, and just south of that, some stars spelled out 21/11!

Chinese Democracy starts now! And how cool of Merck and Axl to shift the astral bodies to promote the album. ?:hihi:

Well, my faith's restored. ?:peace:

There's a new moon @ 11:22pm (UT) on Monday 11/20... FWIW.

Isn't that a song? "New Moon on Monday"? :)

Its pretty well documented that for a time in the late 90's at least he was spending quite a bit of time in Sedona.

I remember reading that article a few years back.  Axl failed to show up for his own 37th birthday party...lol, now thats classic.  Very good read though, and who knows it might be the luckiest day of the year, especially for people on GN'R boards.

That's true. Axl even got some "problems" at Phoenix airport with some officers in the late '90s... he got arrested.

The story was reported on a Nick Kent's article.

Yeah, that's actually cause I choose NOT to remember all the crap I read everyday about Axl.

I remember some shit about Yoga and some psychic but not about Sedona.

It could also be cause back then I didn't know what Sedona was...

But you're a bigger fan than me since you remembered Sedona...  ::)

The medium that gave Axl the crystal ball over which he got into a fight with the airport security?
Is it really her name..? I think it's 'Yoda' or something...  :-\  'Yoga' is a type of physical exercise  :P  ;D
Anyway, I think she's located in Sedona.

Well, anyway, to be quite honest I was just curious cause I hadn't noticed a "Yoda" on the UYI linear notes. I hadn't read TSI ln.

I don't care that much if he got some help or support from someone who knows how to "fix" things...

I hope it helped him.

It's not a bad thing to accept your problems and fears and try to fight them.

Oh, I'd also like to add, that I've found out about Sedona recently.

It might be huge in the US, but almost noone knows it in Greece.

I have a friend who is a doctor, and he asked me to buy some books for him. The books included some cd's as well (plus a dvd) which I copied and kept.

Now I'm curious to watch the dvd and listen to those cd's.

I've just checked it...

It's called The Sedona Method Course.

It's 13 or 14 cd's and a DVD, which includes some kind of seminar in it.

Same here in Belgium. Can you explain what it's all about ?

I haven't listened to it yet, but from what I remember, my friend told me it's something about positive thinking...

The whole thing, including shipping and handling to Greece, costs something like $300.

He gave me the money, I bought it for him and I won a barbeque from my Mastercard...  ;D

I believe this (http://www.arcoscielos.com/about) website is hosted by Yoda and her hubby.

"Arcos Cielos Research Center was created for the development of New Paradigms in Science, Education, Fine Arts, Global Ecology and Human Potential Development. This non-profit Research Center is located in Sedona, Arizona?an area noted for its unique combination of spectacular natural beauty, sunny climate, and creative energy."

"Sharon Tanemura Maynard, born in Western Canada, brings a unique international flavor to Arcos Cielos and its innovative programs. Through her Japanese cultural background, she is skilled at bridging Eastern and Western Viewpoints, and integrating them into programs for new ways of thinking and effective action. Her educational background includes an ARCT Degree from Toronto?s Royal Conservatory of Music. and studies in Communications at Simon Frasier University in Vancouver. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University the Trees Consciousness Research Institute. Her unique gifts in the areas of Financial and Creative Structuring were passed on to her from her grandfather, who was a Buddhist Priest. Sharon?s special abilities have been a key factor in many of the breakthroughs incorporated into the Transformative Programs developed at Arcos Cielos Research Center."

Sedona got its modern name from a woman pioneer, Sedona Schnebly, who settled there at the end of the 19th century. Today, it is a Mecca for people of all ages, on quests of all kinds. It promises a special kind of nourishment for of the body, mind and spirit. What is the principle Sedona attraction? Beauty and Serenity....
