We have had a blast suffering through all these years of hype, let downs, secrets, etc. I for one kinda get off on the thrill of " This could be it!" and I know its gonna be hard to replace that.

I don't know if I would exactly go as far as calling it a "blast" lol but yeah, through all the frustration, dissapointment, letdowns, silent months on end, I don't know, it's been a great ongoing curiosity. It is going to be VERY overwhelming the day the album is released. The culmination of years of waiting, the things i've gone through in the time (finishing school, college etc), all those endless days and nights looking at gig reviews and articles anxious for any new information.. and especially for me, people who I wanted to enjoy the album with who aren't here anymore, especially my closest friends who either moved away, moved on or passed away. But like this poster said, it is going to be a great moment to listen to the cd, a lot of memories will come back of all the time I've waited for this album and all the nights I've spent bugging my friends, many of whom I don't really see anymore, about how great this album will be. Overall, even if there are follow-up albums and concert dvds etc., none of them will be as special to listen to as Chinese Democracy will be since it is the album I spent a good portion of my youth waiting to hear. I'm sure 20 years from now I'll still smile when I hear a song off of Chinese Democracy and think of all the time I spent waiting for it to come out. Yeah, that won't happen but it would be a good read. Waiting for B-sides and more B-sides. Hopefully going to some more GN'R shows with the majority of CD in the setlist. Ummmmm... waiting on the new album which will never ONLY take a year to be released as Axl had said in the past. My guess and this is being honest, 4 years between this album and the next. Then 3 for the next one.

So after all is said and done, I will return to the old band, just like a baby return to his mother. Axl/Slash, Slash/Axl, that's the only reason I love Guns N' Roses. It doesn't mean i cannot appreciate other things (VR, newGNR etc...), I respect them all, but these 2 genius together are the reason why I love music.
