Title: Jumpin' Jesus
Post by: Walk on November 13, 2006, 08:45:13 PM
This weird German death metal band bridged the gap between early and modern death metal in the early 90's with their album, The Art of Crucifying, even though Death gets most of the credit with the Human album. Here's the really cool thing about them: the guitar tone sounds like Pantera and Dimebag Darrell!  ;D I haven't heard that kind of tone used really well in death metal until I heard this band. If you like Death, check out Jumpin' Jesus, since they have a surprising number of similarities. It's a shame the band broke up after only 1 album, though.

I admit to using unorthodox means to "acquire" music from this band, since finding a real copy of their album is very difficult. I don't feel guilty; it was worth it, since all the underground hype about this band is true.
