i really think this is the best GNR forum on the net, but i think you guys (mods, admins) should review your policy, its making the forum kinda useless, if we cant discuss whats happening on GNR, i know it about respect, but damn, its only rock n roll! like stones says, i think this forum doesnt deserve the image that is getting al over the GNR online comunity, so i hope guys over here understand that im saying this with all the respect for you, and just concerned about the future of the forum

I've kept my mouth shut for awhile.. because I respect the mods and what they seem to be trying to do... but I'm hoping the mods know why people are getting angry. Personally I don't care too much... its just rock n roll...

If this level of "censorship" continues AFTER Chinese Democracy is released I would become more concerned. For now.. lets chill. Albums coming out.. great tour.. ect

Agreed, if the album comes out as soon as recent events may be suggesting then all will be right within a week. If I had a site dedicated to a band and the band asked me to do something for them I know I'd do it, I understand that. It's shame everything is happening in this way but hopefully there will only be a week more of this  :peace:

I dont know Jarmo personally, so I cant comment on how he is in real life. From what ive seen everyone say's he is cool, so he probably is.

However, A lot of people do have a problem with how he act's over certain things. If he chooses to run his site and keep everything private for his personal gain, then it is what it is, even if we find that to be a bit selfish, but he doesnt have to be a fucking prick about it, but he does anyway.

I'd say 90% of the time he answer's people's question's, he does it in an assholish sarcastic way. He shouldnt treat the members of his forum that way, especially people who have been here awile and shown him respect. I have seen people ask him simple questions, nothing stupid or bad, just simple questions and he answers them like they are fucking dirt, and not worthy of a decent response. People get sick of that shit. If he wants respect he should learn how to give it. You treat people how you want to be treated. He treats people like shit and thats exactly what he gets back.

And the deletion of threads, thats getting out of hand. What kinda of forum is it if everyone agrees?? Thats fucking lame, and when people disagree, they get their threads deleted, no explanation, nothing, and I think thats shitty.

I understand Jarmo has a job to do but he is abusing his power. The mods here wont admit it (because im guessing they will lose their modship if they disagree with Jarmo on anything) but I have seen them say so many times when people make a thread complaining about something getting deleted that they have "no idea why it was deleted, they didnt see anything wrong with it"...so if the mods dont see the problem, why does Jarmo always have a problem with it?? And im not talking about just GNR news, this has to do with EVERY thread.

Let me just say this: sometimes mods go too far.

But it's still great we have real rules here. If someone wants to post useless shit (this is not directed to anyone in this thread) there's this another board just for those guys.. there you can post whatever you want to and call people names if you feel like doing it. I have great respect for Jarmo & mods for doing this and keeping this thing going 'cause this really is the best Gn'R-forum.

btw. mods should use screenshots in the 'Karma-thread' 'cause most of the threads/post are already deleted before you can check your karma.

Well, actually...

Firstly, there is no need for us to discuss it publicly, so it has nothing to do with not wanting to admit anything.

Secondly, nobody would lose their modship for raising questions about any new rules, or rather what exactly it is that we have to enforce. Or at least, they haven't yet, because it's happened a few times. But as I said, what would doing it on the board for the lot of you to read achieve.........

Why? The thread isn't used to give evidence; that you are directed to the specific post is a bonus. If a moderator says that kashew has got negative karma for a rubbish post full o' nothing but smileys, then you can take it to the bank and, err, smoke it. If anybody disputes it, we can provide a quote word for word, and if they still say it never happened... Well, we have access to all of the deleted stuff anyway, so that aint' gonna fly captain.

Errr.. Jim, whatever, err, it was just a suggestion. I'm one of those sick persons that like to watch people getting karma, err, but now everything is deleted. Guess I'll just have to, errr, go to sleep. Thanks!
