Title: Axl at heavyweight fight on HBO last night? Post by: Tyson on November 12, 2006, 11:25:51 AM I wasn't able to watch the fight last night on HBO that took place at MSG, though I've heard that Axl was there. If anyone watched this fight, can they please lets us all know if Axl was there and all the other relevant details. Did the commentators acknowledge his presence? Who was he with? THanks!

Had I know about it before the fight I would have been looking out for him. The comentators didnt say anything, although they showed when Ali made his enterance and he was wearing the same thing from the previos pictures, so its probable. I remember in 2002 Axl made a comment about Oscar DeLahoya and Fernando Vargas.

They really didn't focus on the crowd and any celebrities except for Ali. I was waiting for Axl to sing the national anthem but that didn't happen.

Post by: Carol Rose on November 12, 2006, 01:58:42 PM That's right - I stayed up to watch the fight and one of the german hosts said he just "saw Axl Rose sitting somewhere in the back very relaxed"... and even though I didn't see him it was cool to know that he's there!
