They were not listed on Ticketmaster and I was on there before 10am! I still haven't been able to find tickets for sale anywhere. I'm sure they are all sold out by now so I think I'll have to go on Ebay because I WILL NOT MISS THIS! :)
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: mrbrownstone8797 on September 23, 2006, 04:24:06 PM Holy crap, when did this get scheduled? I've been looking out for a Massachusetts date for a while now and didn't even see this. Haven't seen any info for getting tickets, and it's not on the DCU Center's website yet...hopefully this is true.

Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: hpantazo on September 29, 2006, 09:54:55 AM Anyone got the worcester password yet? I signed up in time for the presale but I got nothing yet. Just wondering if it's only me.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: LittleFly on September 29, 2006, 09:56:57 AM Anyone got the worcester password yet? I signed up in time for the presale but I got nothing yet. Just wondering if it's only me. THERE ARE NO PASSWORDS YET!!!! I don't know how the ticketmaster presale is going off, but the for the fan forum one, no passwords have been sent. :peace: ;D Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: stvyrayvhn on September 29, 2006, 09:57:17 AM Where do I sign up?
NEvermind... I obviously don't spend enough time on this board to get pre-sale passwords... Cause I have to work and have a family... :-\ Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: hpantazo on September 29, 2006, 09:57:38 AM Really? WTF!
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: italysfinest1985 on September 29, 2006, 10:04:03 AM I never got a Worcester password either and the presale is going on.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:06:19 AM I've got the password from the venue, not for promoters. Anyway, there aren't any tickets available LOL!
Nice job GNR management Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: LittleFly on September 29, 2006, 10:09:15 AM No seats at all available, wowwy. :'(
Well, guess I'll wait for the other presale Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:10:37 AM The e-mail from teh DCU center said the presale starts at noon, not 10:00. So maybe someone on Ticketmaster made a mistake. I'm waiting till noon and trying again.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: Crepndeth8 on September 29, 2006, 10:11:34 AM Don't worry about it. A) It probably won't sell out completely anyway; and B) It's certainly not going to sell out instantly. Something must be fucked up with the presale. My email from the venue said 12pm to 6pm, so maybe they haven't even released the tickets into the system yet,
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: Bucketofguns on September 29, 2006, 10:20:15 AM Hell yea, I got 2 GA tickets. Holy crap I'm excited. And what the hell, turns out there was a password after all.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: guns97 on September 29, 2006, 10:21:14 AM Yeah, looks like ticketmaster fouled up...I went on at exactly 10:00:01 with a T1 connection and the password and got "tix not available" - that shouldn't happen.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:22:12 AM Hell yea, I got 2 GA tickets. Holy crap I'm excited. And what the hell, turns out there was a password after all. through ticketmaster's site? ?it seems that's impossible... Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:24:17 AM That's because it is, the tickets haven'e been made available yet.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: guns97 on September 29, 2006, 10:25:38 AM Do you know that for a fact? Only asking because I can get to the point where ticketmaster is searching for my tix, then says none available, I am confused...do you think they fouled up by putting 10 am??
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: NickNasty on September 29, 2006, 10:26:50 AM what other password do people have- the DCU center one---i signed up for their mailing list but never got it >:(

And what the hell, turns out there was a password after all. through ticketmaster's site? ?it seems that's impossible... Guns and Roses DCU Center, Worcester, MA Wed, Nov 8, 2006 08:00 PM Seat location: section FLR GA, row GA2, seats 5-6 Total Charge: $175.70 Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:28:19 AM Yes this has happened before, the tickets were set to go on sale at 10:00 am on ticketmaster.com. Problem is, the e-mail for the presale came AFTER the presale time went up on ticketmaster.com. The e-mail states the presale goes on at NOON, not 10:00am on Friday the 29th. Hence, why you can enter the password but find no tickets, there are no tickets in the system yet.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:30:01 AM Well if the password is different than you have the passwords for the pre presale I guess, although I'm not sure how you have a different one than I do.
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: stvyrayvhn on September 29, 2006, 10:34:08 AM I'm pretty much trying to guess it at this point...
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: guns97 on September 29, 2006, 10:34:44 AM i am still getting "no tickets available" if the password were different than what I have, I wouldn't be able to get as far as the system looking for tix for me. so the password i have is correct, it just appears they have not been released yet, or they are out of the released tickets (unlikely)
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: HollyW00d on September 29, 2006, 10:36:08 AM Argh I just bought 4, the password changed and the e-mail we received was wrong. The password is the same idea but 2 before, that's the hint I will give everyone.

The pit has a special entrance where you get a wristband, you will always have some people that will start a line very early to get in the front.. I have never had a problem getting close though, they never over-sell the pit, which is good... p.s. the whole floor/ice rink is the pit.. it's pretty big..
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: NickNasty on October 04, 2006, 10:52:34 AM ^ i think that's stvyrayvhn's point---usually the pit is an even smaller section than just the floors itself, right up front...apparently if i read you guys right, GA seating on the floor at the DCU doesnt have that.

Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: yesterdaysgun on October 30, 2006, 11:54:31 PM my ladyfriend got tix for this show so I am going out to see her for the concert. ;D She has GA tix but they say GA7 on them so we are trying to figure out if they are VIP GA's or not. They don't say that on top-I looked at the seating chart for this show and there is no section 7 but on the madonna chart there is. so I am assuming we are in the back part of the GA section but the tickets don't really indicate that and I am not sure if they are dividing the pit like at other shows. Any ideas on this?
Also she wants to know who the openeing acts are...I told her about papa roach since it's lsited on the tm site. But in this thread I see Sabastian Bach is the first act...is that definate? ??? Isn't that the guy from Skid Row? We havent made our definitive plans yet cause she has to work and won't get out till 5pm that day....she mentione dthe bar you are having the pre-party at so maybe we'll drop in...she is not a board member but know's someone here..but I don't know who lol. It's gonna be fun! :hihi: Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: dannygsxr on October 31, 2006, 09:21:52 PM I've been to tons of shows at the Centrum/DCU center. There has always been only 1 GA section, open to all ticket holders. I also spoke with the owner of Brew City, who I am friendly with and he wasn't to enthused about running any type of promotions or music for a "pre-party", and didn't want to disrupt his regular business. This on top of the fact that it is not in walking distance make me think I am going some place else. There is a new bar called McFaddens right down the street. I also know the GM for Voodo. I went there before the beastie boys show a while back and it was great, but no food. McFaddens has food.

T Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: NickNasty on November 05, 2006, 07:23:40 PM Travis---it all depends really...my experience at GA shows is just b/c you get there early to get up front doesnt mean you'll be there when the pushing and shoving starts for the headliner. im not sure how well this one sold--it could be possible that they will be letting the cheap seats folks go close if there are lower area seats--in that case, i dont think they would have a problem with you getting up off the floor.
i personally want to be there early enough to scope out a semi-decent area at the floor and scope the merch table....so if gates are at 7...i wanna be there no later than 715...but i wont speak for other's plans. I know many wont want to hear this, but this was by far the worst show that I have ever seen in over 200+ concerts. Bach, was awesome, played for a little over an hour, all the hits, piece of me, monkey bus, here i am, big guns, slave to the grind, 18 and life, ill remember you, youth gone wild and some new stuff. Guns though, besides waiting for ever the show was horrible. I just dont get it, they were so good in 2002. All the songs were butchered tonight, you couldnt hear axl have the time. playing that late is just rediculas. I know i am not the only one who feels this way..
Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: henryj on November 09, 2006, 07:50:09 AM Late show, but if you read the posts you knew better and showed up at 11pm like I did. They finally came on at 11:42pm EST which is tooooo F-in late. I left after they sang IRS, in which it was abut 1:20am. Had to work in the morning and get up at 5:45am.
I saw GNR back in the AFD and UYI days and my personal opinion was that his voice sounded much better last night. Very crisp for the first half of the show and then they had their usual Mic/Audio problems. I think it was after Out Ta Get Me when things started to sound pretty shi_ty. His mic was cutting in and out and it sounded like a bad cell phone call. If anyone can tell me what songs were sung after IRS, it would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how many people were there and from the Maine, but I'm guessing around 7000(Could be way off on that guess). Otherwise Axl looked good and aka Bumblefoot is not needed. Finck and Fortus are just fine and can do the job. The Your So Beautiful solo bwteen Finch and Fortus was amazing Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: henryj on November 09, 2006, 07:56:07 AM Almost forgot the F-in amazing and I mean amazing piano rendition of Angie/Rolling Stones by Dizzy

Or did they just continue? Yeah, after "Welcome To The Jungle", Axl made a comment about how bad the sound was, and then said the band was going to try to give the fans a good show. For the most part thereafter, the sound was decent, but Axl's mic did sound faint at times. Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: dave-gnfnr2k on November 09, 2006, 03:23:53 PM Guns n roses Worcester Ma 11/09/06
First off Bach opening was amazing. He sounded great. I had heard some of his you tubes and thought he did not sound that great but last night his voice was insane. He played some skid row hits and said that the Worcester crowd was probably the best he has seen all tour or something to that effect. He also looks possessed when he hits that super high notes. The guy can really song and I was really impressed. As or Papa Roach I did not care for them. The crowed seemed much more into Bach than Papa Roach. The crowd waited about an hour or so for Gnr to hit the stage and no one really booed, then near the end a few people started booing and a lot of people joined in then 10 seconds later Robin started his WTTF tease and the crowd erupted. I was at Boston 2002 and while Worcester is a smaller venue and has less people let me tell you the crowd was loud and into all the songs. The new songs even got a pop. Most people did not know them but I saw some people that were singing them. One guy even asked Cindy who was next to me how we knew the new songs. He asked if we stole them LOL We told him the names of the new songs they played to that point and I assume he was going to go down load t hem after the show (sorry Axl) Despite a lot of technical difficulties I have never heard Axl sound better than I did tonight. For the first four songs he did not use his ear monitor because he could not hear himself and he sounded amazing. He really should just lose the monitors because he always spends too much time playing with it and it sometimes throws him off. After the first song Axl complained about the sound problems and said we will try to put on a show for you. That worried a lot of people in the crowd but let me tell you the band really rallied and got through it all. The sound was really messed up because on some songs Robin?s guitar would just cut out, this caused him to toss 2 or 3 guitars during the show. Axl?s mic could cut out here and there and you couldn?t not hear him sing for parts of songs. It was interesting though to hear Robin?s guitar so high on some of the songs. It was pretty cool actually, the only bad thing was he crapped out for the intro of better and you could not hear his guitar intro for it. That was disappointing but the crowd was really into better especially the metal part. I think we have Frank to thank for keeping this show going, because when Axl was really pissed off after the first few songs because of sound problems Frank said something to him because Axl came out and thanked him and said he is his new motivational speaker, and to keep going or he would kick my ass. While the solos were many they all got a good reaction from the crowd, the biggest cheer surprisingly came from Dizzy?s piano solo of the stones song Angie. Axl was in good spirits and joked a lot. He joked about the Fire Marshals in Maine and saying I thank the cool Fire Marshals here for allowing us to put on our show. He also asked for a moment of silence because K Fed and Britney are getting a divorce, when the crowd cheered, Axl said that wasn?t very nice and laughed. He even messed with the fans for the sing a long part of KOHD and came on a few notes late on the final sing along and tricked us. It was funny. Also after Better, Axl said I heard that. And said I heard some of you yelling play more new songs. The surprise of the night came when they played down on the Farm; it was really rockin, and sounded great. But this was one of the songs Axl?s mic was crapping out and for the middle part of the song you couldn?t hear him. But the song came off great and they should make it a staple in their show. All and all the show came off great and the fans were into it all night. Not many left before the end of the show. I would say the place was about 80% full and quite a few people came from Maine to see the show. Also after the show walking out and I went to a store after to get a drink, everyone was saying how great Axl and the band sounded. I also turned on the radio to listen and 90% of the callers were positive. The only negative things said about the band were about the solos. They just think there are too many of them and they are a buzz kill. Ii have yet to hear a person said this show was not good yet so that is a good thing. If not for the sound problems this could have been the best gnr show ever. It?s the best I have ever been to and that includes the first night of Hammerstein. Sure the list at Hammerstein was better but the band played and Axl sounded better at this show. Axl?s voice is getting better and better. I never thought he would hear Axl as good as he sounded in the 80s again but he is getting close. If anyone gets a chance to see this band live, really should go check it out. You won?t be disappointed. If they only had an album out then everyone would have known the new songs but in due time. Title: Re: November 8 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center Post by: tonya_ytzerman on November 09, 2006, 06:36:01 PM @Better
From what I saw, the effects didn't work, and when Robin heard it, he smashed his guitar onto the stage and walked off. He came back and played the solo/bridge part, and then he smashed that guitar too. Man, they played Down On The Farm!!! *still-cant-believe-it* Title: The DEFINITIVE Review of the Worcester Show...Plus Rhiad On A Test Monitor!? Post by: italysfinest1985 on November 10, 2006, 01:29:02 AM Yesterday's show was nothing short of amazing. Here's a full recap.
I got to the venue and entered the line at about 2:00. There was a small crowd of people my friends and I were behind. The anticipation was off the charts. The line steadily grew longer and Spaz and some girl from WAAF Boston radio (Kelly?) showed up around 6:00 and offered the people in the front of the line the chance to go backstage for an exclusive meet and greet with Papa Roach. No one gave a shit about it and it was like pulling teeth to get people to go. I kind of was a dick and harrassed them to arrange a meet and greet with Axl to which the responded with awkward shrugs. However, I had my friends hold my place in line and for the mere reason of seeing Axl or any of GnR roaming around back there, I went with them. We waited outside the side entrance door as these DJ's or whoever they were bashed Axl, saying he may not show after Maine got canceled. I brought up the fire marshal press release, and they shrugged it off like it was bullshit. Needless to say I was pissed. I don't like incessant GnR bashing. So we finally go in there we pass the merchandise crew setting up shop. The radio staff wouldn't let me inquire about making some early T-shirt purchases (which I wanted to do so I could rush to the stage when the doors opened) and are put in a VIP room. We sit there...and numerous security people come through, everyone seeming unsure about Axl arriving yet. Papa Roach came in yelling a bunch of dirty language trying to be funny. They signed stuff and took pictures. "We're out of here after the Madison Square Garden show" the singer said, but no one could figure out if he was taking a cheap shot at touring with GnR or just making a loud rude proclamation. We left and got escorted back outside, and these DJ's followed with surveys. "Will Axl be late or not show?" If you fill it out you got entered into a drawing for WAAF T-shirts. I hate this negative bullshit. What appeared to be the GnR tour bus pulled into the garage as we were leaving and a hobo scalper wouldn't move out of the bus's way and was like 3 feet from being roadkill. I ended up yelling to the guy that I wanted tickets just so he could move and stop holding everything up. When he started toward me, I slithered back into line. Haha. WAAF told us they had stickers with an exclusive new GnR logo they would be handing out after the show, so I remembered to stop by after. Doors opened at 7:00 and I got right up against the guardrail. Bach tore up the set, coming on at 8:15. It felt like the late 80s. "I Remember You", "Here I Am", "18 And Life", and the new song "By Your Side" were definitely the highlights. I was very impressed. I wasn't expecting Bach to make me jump up and down for an hour straight like he did. Good shit, and a good crowd response. Papa Roach came out at like 9:30, but not before the lamest banner I ever saw was put behind them. When I say lame, I mean fucking lame. A sad gothic ripoff of the Bret Hart skull and wings logo, wearing a crown of thorns, with little skulls around it. It was cornier than the Field of Dreams. It really fucking sucked, plain and simple. I really can't stop thinking about how gay it was...but enough of that. "Scars", "Last Resort", and "To Be Loved" (which is the new WWE Monday Night Raw song so that's how I recognized it) were highlights of an otherwise lame set. Security was reprimanding the singer for encouraging fighting, crowd surfing, and trying to get a mosh pit going. Crowd wasn't into them as much as they were Bach. The sound crews fucked with the pedals and the screens for a while. However, where I was, I could see the setlist/lyrics prompter screen in the corner when they were testing it. Not to spoil anything, but I am sure I saw Rhiad about six songs down on one of the setlists that flashed. Maybe this will be a future show's set? Who knows. I am not a big Rhiad fan, so if I was making this up, I would say I saw Catcher in the Rye on there..just to let all the doubters now. Guns and Roses hit the stage at about 11:35. Kicked it off with Jungle, and the fucking place erupted. Great rasp/falsetto combination, most impressive Axl vocals since the Illusions days. He flowed into "It's So Easy" and it really cranked. I was at the Hammerstein shows, and the energy can be comparable to those. After this, Axl grabbed the mic and said the show will keep rolling as long as the sound guy doesn't fuck him over. Classic Axl. Brownstone was amazing, the opening drums powerful and as brutal as ever. Axl referred to Frank as his psychologist, saying how he "could beat him up". Very funny exchange. Live and Let Die had the crowd singing in unison, a truly magical moment, with the flame pyro accentuated the energy in the arena. Finck hit a nice little solo that flowed into Sweet Child of Mine. Really great rendition of the song. Sounded pretty close to the Appetite studio cut. Around this time, Axl said "Hello Portland" and snickered jokingly. He was up by Frank's drum kit when he said it. Knocking on Heaven's Door had everyone on their feet, waving their lighters with enthusiasm. You Could Be Mine was fast paced and proved Frank's excellence. Axl really hit some good notes on this one...very close to the original recording....sounded like someone had the Terminator 2 DVD hooked up the speaker system. Classic. The Blues was heart-wrenchingly awesome. Someone on this board described this song as "the closest they've ever been to a higher power" and that was definitely the case at this show. The sound guy was on point during this one. His jump on top of the piano for the final verse was great. Better tore the house down. One of the best rock music performances, ever. Seriously. I was blown away. This song will be a surefire hit. People were getting into it...noticed dancing up in the balcony seats too. Out Ta Get Me was dedicated to the fire marshalls of Maine. Fucking hilarious. He thanked the Worcester Fire Marshall. On a side note, I saw the marshall talking to security before Roach's set, and he seemed enthused to be seeing Guns and Roses in Worcester, so that must have been assuring for Axl. Rose was all around the stage for this song. November Rain was nothing short of epic. All the solos were amped up and on point. It was before this song where Axl asked for a moment of silence for K-Fed and Britney. The crowd jeered he said "Come on that's not silence, we got to have some respect....word." Everyone enjoyed the humor. However when Axl noticed the sound guy didn't give him his ear plugs, he thanked him for making "the musician go deaf." Do your job, sound guy. During the rain pyro after the break in the song, a fire was started on the stage..either a towel or a cup. Axl watched security out of the corner of his eye as they put it out and sang the last lines to NR. If only Fire Marshall P. Maine could see this...he would fine the band..and probably even send a subpoena to Brain's newborn. That bastard could shove a Portland firehose up his ass...but anyways... Down on the Farm was a great surprise, and got a great reaction in the pit. Maybe because the fat slags who were trying to shove us true fans out of the way smelled like the horseshit...down on the farm. Haha, all kidding aside, it was explosive. IRS came next, thanks to the chants of the Chinese Democrats. My personal favorite part of this show. It was mind-numbing to hear this great number live. What a great song with some great riffs. I was leaning over the railing, screaming my brains out and singing along crazily like a mental patient. Finck noticed this, and threw me his bottle of Kirkland spring water which I downed in seconds. The ending to this song on the live version is spine-chilling. "There's not anymooore....that I...can..dooo..ooo". My Michelle brought Bach back out as usual. He is great. It was a great performance, with Axl doing a little bow and motioning Bach to kick off the first verse. Bach was intense, as was Axl. Bach shrieked after the song "Give it up for Axl fuckkkin Rose!" with Axl doing the subtle calm "Mr. Sebastian Bach." Anyone who misses this duet live is missing out. Next came Patience, which sparked the crowd up. Great number. Nighttrain was aggressive. Axl almost slipped on a water puddle. He also just missed a flying wig that came wizzing by him on stage. Looked like a dreadlock piece, but he ignored it, and finished the song. Good night. Madagascar rocked hard. They used the Martin Luther King and stained glass window images that were used in 2002 and 2006. Bone-chilling. The sound guy dropped the vocals and Axl was inaudible for a few of the "can't find my way back, my way anymore"s. That didn't stop the performance from being monumental. Paradise City was awesome. Red confetti was used. Bumblefoot ran out to the front row with the guitar and I got to pick a couple chords for some of Axl's shrieks. Those are three seconds I'll never forget haha. Good fuccccckin night. Axl came out afterward and apologized about the Maine incident and any "inconveniences", hoped everyone had a good time, and then took a bow with the band to a thunderous standing ovation. The Beautiful solo with Finck and Fortus was in there somewhere, Ron's Don't Cry solo moved everyone in the arena. I forget where in the set they were. The new logo stickers? On the way out WAAF was passing out novelty bumperstickers with the original bullet GnR logo and "11-8-06, Worcester, MA, I Was Here, But Was Axl?". One of the DJ's handed me a few and I ripped them up and dropped them on the ground. That wasn't a new logo, nor was it funny. Fucking asses don't know their heads from a hole in the ground. It was a great time and I recommend everyone go see GnR. Title: Worcester Review Post by: TylerPaige on November 10, 2006, 01:36:41 AM This isn't hyperbole.
I love this band. I heard them for the first time in the same way that many of you did, on the radio, in the Summer of 1988. 14 years old. So many, many years ago. Sweet Child of Mind, like an adrenoline spike to the heart. All of a sudden awake and glad to be alive. Then the purchase of the album. Christ! So many classic tunes. All of a sudden they were everywhere and the attitude and feeling that something great had begun. They were our Beatles, our Stones, our Led Zeppelin, our Queen, our Who. They were ours and we didn't let go. More albums came, half accoustic, half electic albums (Incredible), two seperate yet connected individual albums (Brilliant) that had the balls to be released on the same day. The world was theirs. We believed. Then they disappeared.... Last night I believed again. In the past year I have seen the Rolling Stones twice, Pearl Jam, Cold Play, Neil Young, U2, Radiohead, Oasis, and Eric Clapton. The show that I saw on November the 8th in Worcester topped them all. I am ready to believe again. Title: Re: The DEFINITIVE Review of the Worcester Show...
