Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I did.  Full on with the kilt, tattoos, bandana, mic, you name it. 

I work in a pretty conservative office, it was funny as hell seeing the peoples faces. I was the only rocker there.


Some assclown asked me if I was Braveheart. 
I said I didn't think Braveheart had a microphone, bandana or sunglasses, but I hadn't seen the movie in a while so I might be mistaken.

Yes, I went out saturday night with the kilt, catchers chest protector, wig, bandana, sunglasses, black high top boots, and tatoos.  One guy asked if I was the guy from Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Two waitresses new right away that I was Axl and loved it.  I also ran into a Kid Rock, who looked just like him.

Let's see the pictures - I have an annual 80s party and am planning on going as Axl or Slash next time!

Going to. We haven't left yet for the bars so I haven't changed yet, but it'll be late 80s Axl, kilts don't sit right with me.

I was Slash last year, I ended up not dressing this year due to a mid- term that I have to take tomarrow(haven't studied one bit yet ?:nervous:). When was Slash though I had the perfect wig, top hat jacket and so on, people got a real kick out of it and it was a damn fun halloween. Hope you guys dressed as Axl have a good one!

I dressed as Axl this past weekend.? It's not perfect, because I didn't have time to do the tattoos or anything, but I did win for most original costume.? What do u guys think?

i did....kilt, Guns t shirt, combats, but i had black hair and decided to put eyeliner and mascara on so it was sort of a cross between Depp from Pirates and Axl...but a few hot chicks got it...get pics if i can...

I dressed as axl to go to a rock club in north london a few years ago. Had the kilt, baseball cap bandana the lot. friend of mine went as slash. then they played SCOM it was the cheesiest things you ever did see.

No, I stayed in and watched House. But there was a "what you wanted to be when you grew up" theme pub crawl I went to the other year. Lots of fireman, sexy nurses, police outfits, one mechanic.... I went as Slash. All the pictures are on my 'pooter in England, If I remember I'll put some up next time I'm back.

Honestly, good job, only two critiques:  1.  I don't remember Axl ever wearing a GNR t-shirt, but I guess you kinda have to do that to solidify the idea of who it is, and 2.  I don't know why, probably simply because of your looks, but you reminded me at first glance of Bret Michaels instead of Axl Rose   :nervous:    SORRY!

Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate that.  I'm glad you liked the costume.  I had a lot of fun putting it together.  Like I said I know it ain't perfect, but everyone was coming up to me while we were out saying how awesome it was.  The last thing I expected was to get called a freak by some lowlife.  I thought everyone here would at least appreciate my efforts, whether I look just like Axl or not.  I guess there's always that one asshole of the group.  Oh well, what can you do?  Thanks to everyone who liked the costume.   : ok:

I think all of the people who posted pics here did great with their Axl costumes!  But my favorite pictured costume is the "Madonna" that IFINGLOVEVR was on the float with -- I did a triple-take when I saw her.  LOL.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. It was actually the first time that I'd dressed up in many years, and I wanted to make sure that it looked decent. I don't know what I'm going to dress up as next year. My red hair/beard and love for GNR made this year's costume kind of obvious. If I don't come up with anything else, I guess I could dress as Axl from a different era. He's had enough transformations to last me a few years. Heh.

Yeah, i was smokin the marlboro reds that nite i think but the wig was flammable so it was risky. Also i cant actually play guitar, just stole it from my flatmate. Bottle of JD just out of shot :hihi:
