Here Today... Gone To Hell!

hi everybody!
i've been reading this message board everyday for years already but never posted anything.. and now i just thought i'd say my opinion..
i don't think i've seen anybody suggesting that the release date would be december 19th. they have 3 shows in a row at the gibson amphitheatre and then have the christmas break off the tour.. great time to release the album, celebrate it at the amphitheatre and then see for a few weeks while not touring how it sells and then come back and play all those great new tunes live.

Thanks, and welcome. However next time don't start a whole new thread about your guess on the release date.. If everybody posted their own thread we'd have about 1,000 of them (instead of the 300 we have now :hihi:) There are usually 2 or 3 going on at any given time(should be only one but hey... whatever). Try and consolodate by adding onto one of them.

I totally agree with you, I've checked out the tour dates and late December does look more realistic to me. The Christmas break in the tour. ?Seems weird that someone has the same thought! Thinking hard though, I don't think it would make a difference during the tour for the band whether they tour or not. ?Put yourself in their shoes (LOL) would you want time off.

We're facing the whole problem over and over. ?The internet is MASS marketing and the management ARE AWARE of this.

They could just want to spend Christmas with their families?

Sorry, but I don't think taking time off for Christmas is part of the "super secret masterplan" to release Chinese Democracy.

Yea, seriously.  GNR has family just as we all do.  I am sure they would like to spend time with them during the holidays.

It really would be nice if we could get this all contained to one thread though.  The board is looking rather messy today with people posting a new topic for every thing that pops in their head.

i think that's too late too relaese the albums if they wanna have help with the sales before christmas if you know what i mean

That's something I haven't actually thought about yet. There have been none of these rumors yet. Kinda strange.

First it's Nov. 14th, then Nov. 21st, then Dec. 5th, then Dec. 12th, then Dec. 19th...

Fuck that. If it's gonna be like that, it ain't ever coming out.? :-\

You just don't know. When Dec 31 comes and passes and still no album, THEN I will start to wonder alot more..
Unlike the past, as someone else said, there haven't been any rumours, problems, significant events or anything which is a obvious threat to push back the album  (e.g. band members leaving, bad tour, Axl problems etc)..well.. nothing yet anyway.

I'm keeping all possibilities open until January. Sure sometimes the album does seem something more like a myth that should just never come out, but then again things seem more positive than they have in the past anyway, even with no official release date or confirmation (well, nothing cryptic or vague anyway)

Another thing I might add is that after Christmas, when they do more shows they could have Brain back in the fold and Brain can get his due for all his drumming on the new cd....

Of course I hope the album is released sooner rather than later.
