Does this exist anywhere or on Youtube?  I remember seeing it on MTV news I think, back in early 92...

I remember hearing about this. I think i even have the audio boot of this show. He sure had guts to finish this show with his hand split open.

It was definitely on Mtv, I remember seeing it and being pissed cause I didn't go. I went to the first show the night before.

I have the audio from this show, but I haven't seen any video of it. It sure is possible that it has been on MTV as a short clip or something..

Yep, the same show. After Axl sliced his hand and the band had performed couple of songs Slash started to talk to the crowd and Axl got pissed. I don't fully know what Slash said (it's not the best quality bootleg) but seems to me that he didn't say anything that should piss Axl off.

Yeah, that's how I remember it. Axl misheard something Slash said, and took it the wrong way, and called him a fucking asshole or something, then Slash said he'd kick his ass, and they were about to go, and Duff saved the day by starting Jungle up.

It was Axl who said something like I'm gonna kick your ass ;)

No it was Slash, from my understanding. Unless you were there, I dunno.

When Axl returns, he misinterprets what Slash had told the crowd and calls Slash a "punk motherfucker!" To which Slash replies "I'll kick your fucking ass!" The band then breaks into 'Welcome To The Jungle' before tempers flare even further.

a doctor my mom works with at miami valley hospital (located in doewntown dayton) actually patched up axl's hand from what my mom tells me.

When Axl went to get fixed up... Slash had no clue as to what happened... the band did a few songs... Then a confused Salsh said, "Axl must be doing a costume change''... When Axl came back out he flipped.....


As for the topic, no bootleg is out there as far as I know.....I remember when I first started bootlegging, I got ripped off, cause the guy said he had the Vid ?;D

That wouldn't have been an enjoyable experience. He was probably pissed as fucking hell that night.

Slash used this incident as an example of Axl being "flighty" when he was on the Howard Stern Show promoting the first Snakepit album.  He did say Axl apologized when he saw the vid backstage and found out what Slash really said while he was tending to his hand.

That would be an interesting bootleg. If anyone ever finds it, please share with the rest of us.
