Title: Nothing earth-shattering, but I was talking to local WCCC DJ about CD tonight...
Post by: italysfinest1985 on November 05, 2006, 11:46:01 PM
I went to the local Hooters restaurant tonight for the WWE Cyber Sunday pay per view (by the way of which I was very happy with since Roddy Piper and Ric Flair won the tag belts) and they were having the CT rock station WCCC there for a football promotion. I talked to them about Chinese Democracy and they claimed all top reps have pointed them toward December as the month. Nothing confirmed, nothing earth-shattering, delete this post if you wish...I just wanted to share what they said to me with all the true GnR fans.

sounds great...matches up with the DECEMBER 5th release.  That's what I'm going with...too many big albums in November.

Next time please warn people about spoilers. I havent watched it yet, and am dissappointed that I know who one the match.

I think that Dec. 5th seems to be the most likely date of release. But who knows?? I just hope it comes out.  :smoking:

Yes, but IMO, if there is a GNR release in the next weeks, it will be announced on the Geffen site.

5th would be o.k.; any later release date (closer to christmas) would be a bad move...

Yes, but Universal would avoid a head to head clashing of its money making heavyweights.

Expect CD to avoid Jay and Gwen.

I don't know about Gwen, but there's no way they're gonna put CD head-to-head with Jay-Z's comeback album, that's being HEAVILY promoted.

Geffen wont be handling the release, its too big for them. The powers that be at Universal will be supervising this one!

i haven't seen or heard any promotion for that album...i wonder if they are having the same discussion on the jay z board that we have on here about the lack of promotion...

I've actually seen a ton of promotion for the Jay Z album and am already sick of it. The single and video have been out for at least a month already I think.  It must be nice to be promoted like crazy... AND just because YOU haven't seen or heard promotion for an album, doesn't mean it's not happening, except for GN'R.

Raven, who was the dj who passed that info along, has since admitted he was basically fucking with people....which is sorta what I thought (and implied) when we were discussing the information.

Then you've been asleep for the last two months. Promo has been all over for Jay-Z's album. I think it's called 'Kingdom Come'.

you think it's called that?  then i guess the promotion hasn't done a very good job if you've been seeing it all over but don't even know the name of the album...

Not for nothing, but I didn't make this thread to hear Jay-Z's stupid name. LOL.

The focus should be on GnR's grand return, not Kingdom Come. I hate MTV.

If Universal are gonna put Gwen & Eminem up against each other, why not Jay-Z & GN'R?

Tru, Legend, tru. I just want this fucking album out so I can go temporarily deaf from blasting it as loud as fucking possible. Long live the Guns, long live the Roses.
