Title: Axl should release an Opera--hear me out Post by: GeraldFord on November 05, 2006, 11:15:11 PM After Chinese Democracy is out, for his next project Axl should make an Opera. It could be like The Who's "Tommy." Actually, the new Who album has a "mini Opera" on it so that got me thinking. I'm not bullshiting, I think it'd be awesome. It could be two CDs, two and a half hours long---but just one song (one track per CD). Imagine having it be like "Coma" and "Estranged" and "Locomotive." One song, epic....Maybe Axl could make a film to go with it. Thoughts...

Also, there's apparently another 2-3 albums worth of material to come out afer that, so such a epic opera would be a few years down the track yet

A "Rock Opera" is what he should be using instead. I agree that Axl has the potential to make one of the greatest Rock Operas of all time, especially after hearing the UYI albums for the first. I still feel that the old band, with the contribution of Izzy (writings such as 14 Years, and Dust and Bones), and Duff (writings such as So Fine), would have been able to make one of the most amazing Rock Operas
