Title: Re: Look what I just won on eBay!!! Post by: Christos AG on November 06, 2006, 01:56:18 PM How much money do you spend on Ebay every month?
Cause all the stuff you posted cost too much money... Anyway, I saw it but didn't feel like paying 80 for it. I spent so much money last year, September-November, and I found myself regreting it this summer... I'm not making the same mistake. I'm saving all my money for a GN'R tour... I'm saving all my money for a GN'R tour... Well, I am a serious collector og GNR so I do spend the money to go with it. But that doesn't mean I haven't found some real bargains. I know that none of you (read posts above yours) would pay that much for that double VHS box set with T-shirt from Japan, but let me try to explain. For example, the Illusions wooden box set is rare and valuable, true. But I can assure you that not only will you see that again on eBay soon, I can guess some websites where you can probably get it. On the other hand, I'd be willing to bet a few fingers that you will never see this box set in this condition again for that price. That's the level of rarity I'm talking here. So far I have had no problems seeing Guns - MSG 02, Hammerstein (all 4 dates), San Francisco Warfield (both dates), and will see them again in December in Fresno. But I guess everyone has that one thing that they like to spend money on. Thanks for the post! Title: Re: Look what I just won on eBay!!! Post by: droezle on November 07, 2006, 03:20:10 AM Great collection man. I bought these promo cd's last month on ebay for 80 euro's (incl.shippingcosts):

Post by: kaasupoltin on November 07, 2006, 04:40:27 AM To droezle, I wouldn't pay 80? for those promos as I have seen them going for ~10?.. but it's all about timing man. And every collector pays what he/she wants and if you're satisfied, it's all good : ok:

So i saw these promo's last month on ebay.de (Germany) and decided to buy them no mather what they cost. I'm a fan now since 18 years and tought it was great to buy something "rare" and exclusive from the band that i love. It's not that you can buy these promo's at your local recordstore. 8) Title: Re: Look what I just won on eBay!!! Quote Im a pretty serious collector too and I was very tempted to bid on that box set too even at that price - mainly for the reason you mentioned, you could wait years before you see that one again in that condition! |
