Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: 14 Yrs Of Silence on October 31, 2006, 09:40:21 AM They say annoyed, but he probably was just sort of embarrassed. This is how things get blown out of proportion

This is how things get blown out of proportion thats what i thought. Axl is enjoying life....this year is really the beginning of something. In the past years, if we had news of someone seeing Axl somewhere it was only once or twice a year...now he is everywhere  Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: GypsySoul on October 31, 2006, 09:52:42 AM They say annoyed, but he probably was just sort of embarrassed.? This is how things get blown out of proportion Yeah.? I doubt Axl was annoyed by it.? Didn't when Axl walked into that Korn party or somewhere and there was a GNR song playing, he jokingly said something like "what shit music youze are playing!"?Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: The Legend on October 31, 2006, 10:05:14 AM New York Post Tuesday, October 31, 2006 http://www.nypost.com/seven/10312006/gossip/pagesix/sightings_pagesix_.htm (http://www.nypost.com/seven/10312006/photos/pagesix010c.jpg) this pic is off the NY Post site so if youze can't see it you can click on the link above to see it on their site PAGE SIX by Richard Johnson Sightings . . . AXL Rose bowling at Lucky Strike in South Beach at the Monday night party thrown by Michelle Pooch, and getting annoyed when a Guns N' Roses song came on. Can't blame him. If i've performed a song 10 billion times, or heard in the studio over and over, the last thing I want to hear is it when go out to party. I did the same thing before my GNR shows. I don't want to listen to GNR. Safe some special-ness for the show. Don't get overloaded on GN'R then go to the show and hear it again. He can only take so much... Imagine every party you go to, once the DJ see you, they play your shit... It most likely was a hip hop orientated party until he showed up or got recognized... Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: slunksoma on October 31, 2006, 11:09:10 AM I'd still say it was more embarrassment then annoyance. well i hope he enjoyed the bowling at least
Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: Bodhi on October 31, 2006, 11:26:33 AM he was probably messing around...like when he went to the Korn release party earlier this year and they were playing "Paradise City", he said something like "what is this crap?" it might have been something sarcastic like that and the paparazzi misinterpreted...or...they just made that part up, because after all they are the paparazzi.....

This is how things get blown out of proportion yeah i think so too, but who's this michelle pooch? Google is your friend. "Nightlife impressario" and "socialite" - read: quasi-wealthy chick hosting parties and sucking up to (sucking off?) the stars. Some rapper I never heard of named Nick Cannon was at one of her other bowling parties. Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: AmyRose on October 31, 2006, 11:36:45 AM Found this at MYGNRFORUM...
"The Miami Herald - Axl Rose was at Tommy Pooch and Alan Roth's party at Lucky Strike last week, but when the DJ played Guns N' Roses' Welcome to the Jungle, he sent someone over to turn the song off. ''I'm here to hear hip-hop,'' sniffed the frazzled rocker. Rose then went on to Snatch two nights in a row, where he partied with Eric Clapton's band members, rode the mechanical bull for more than five minutes and closed the bar around 4:30 a.m. Rose was staying in the penthouse of the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and according to sources, he was very well behaved." Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: Death Cube K on October 31, 2006, 11:59:45 AM Quote 'm here to hear hip-hop Now theres a sentence I will never say. What? Did they expect he would bite someone? I can not believe that sentence... like he was just out of jail or hospital...? or my dog was very well behaved toinght in town...? ::) Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: bDinan on October 31, 2006, 12:06:38 PM You also can't blame the place for playing "Jungle"... its not like they threw on some obscure GnR track to annoy him, maybe it just came on the loop... The song was a smash hit, and they probably play it almost every day, regardless of whos there.
Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: JimMorrison4 on October 31, 2006, 12:09:05 PM I remember reading an Axl interview years ago where he said he hated listening to his own music.
Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: ShotgunBlues1978 on October 31, 2006, 12:14:57 PM He was probably just fucking around and as usual someone made a huge deal over it. The NY Post is almost tabloid level in a lot of cases
Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: JimBobJoeJackJr on October 31, 2006, 12:27:11 PM was it one of the leaks  That was great! Title: Re: Axl sighting mention in the NY Post Post by: smishkey on October 31, 2006, 04:48:07 PM Me and a couple of my buds went to Lucky Strike one night. To bowl three games it cost us $75 bucks, and that was after we ate. They get a few celebs to show up and the prices go through the roof. There was an article hanging on the wall of the ladies' room there about Demi Moore having her birthday party there. That place sucks. And the couches/benches are way too close to the lanes, I almost fell over them several times backing up.
