I don't really want people to cry at my funeral... granted I'm 21 and that's years away (i hope)... I'd try to keep it somewhat upbeat.

No one really knows what gnr music triggered inside my mind and i wouldn't want to have their music at my funeral because it would be like saying someone else knew what happened inside me and no one but me does...?

Lay me Low - Nick Cave

They're gonna lay me low (Lay me low)
They're gonna sink me in the snow
They're gonna throw back their heads and crow
When I go

They're gonna jump and shout (Lay me low)
They're gonna wave their arms about
All the stories will come out
When I go

All the stars will glow bright (Lay me low)
And my friends will give up the fight
They'll see my work in a different light
When I go

They'll try telephoning my mother (Lay me low)
But they'll end up getting my brother
Who'll spill the story on some long-gone lover
That I hardly know

Hats off to the man
On top of the world
Come crawl up here, baby
And I'll show you how it works
If you wanna be my friend
And you wanna repent
And you want it all to end
And you wanna know when
Well do it now don't care how
Take your final bow
Make a stand Take my hand
And blow it all to hell

They gonna inform the police chief (Lay me low)
Who'll breathe a sigh of relief
He'll say I was a malanderer, a badlander, and a thief
When I go

They will interview my teachers (Lay me low)
Who'll say I was one of God's sorrier creatures
There'll print informative six-page features
When I go

They'll bang a big old gong (Lay me low)
The motorcade will be ten miles long
The world will join together for a farewell song
When they put me down below

They'll sound a fluegelhorn (Lay me low)
And the sea will rage, and the sky will storm
All man and beast will mourn
When I go

Hats off to the man
On top of the world
Come crawl up here, baby
And we can watch this damn thing turn
If you wanna be my friend
And you wanna repent
And you want it all to end
And you wanna know when
Well do it now Do it now
Take a long last bow
Take my hand Make a stand
And blow it all to hell

Lay me low...
When I go...

There are songs that really describe the way I am and feel, and I really think that way GNR help in certains way of my attitude for some people think I'm kinda stupid, but for me is just how I see it and feel it.
I really want to people in my funeral hear and feel the way I used to feel in some days, I think Im gonna die old so theres a long way to my death  :-\

Too Much Love Will Kill You -  Queen
Coma - GNR
There Was A Time - GNR

i have a few more ideas, but i like these ideas right now, especially the first two. there are two songs that have brought tears to my eyes -  "The show must go on" anyone that knows anything about queen should understand why, "Too Much Love Will Kill You" Performed by brian may at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Show.

The Legend replied to the thread about the 14-year-old who died and had Don't Cry played at his funeral, and he said at HIS funeral he wants Paradise City to be played.

I thought this was kind of an interesting discussion to start. Without making it all morbid and depressing, of course. But my family members have talked about funeral songs before, for example my grandfather wants the theme from Good, Bad and the Ugly by Ennio Morricone.

I want them to play My World at my funeral, orgasmic screaming women and all.  : ok:

And then I want Chris Pitman to perform a special rendition of Silkworms with Jon Lovitz on vocals.

Or maybe just Deborah's Song by Ennio Morricone...  Beautiful song.

The Prisoner- Iron Maiden

Yes, I'm serious. :) For a while I thought some kvlt black metal would be cool, but funerals are depressing enough as it is. This song is uplifting, and I think the lyrics would be very suitable, even if they have absolutely nothing to do with funerals. Plus, it's just a great song.

It's the one he sings at the end of Monty Python's The Life of Brian.   :hihi:

That would actually be a really cool song to have.

I probably haven't heard my funeral song yet, but if I died tomorrow, I'd go with Bobby McFerrin's Don't Worry Be Happy

Yes, I just listed Eric Idle instead of Monty Python to see who actually got the joke.

I saw a video on youtube of them singing this song at Graham Chapmans funeral and I thought "Thats how I wanna go out". That and having John Cleese cursing his ass off while giving my eulogy :hihi:

While not AT my funeral, there is a song that might lead to my funeral.

That new freaking Evanescence song, "Call me when your sober" is stuck in my fucking head.  I'd prefer to be shot...thus, it leading to my funeral...but it keeps playing over and over in my head.  I've tried everything I can think of to get it out, short of the aforementioned bullet.
