Maybe let the frank issue rest, could be hard to see or someone doesn't know the drummers well. We'll know when we see a pic.

I dont think we will have much difference in set-list till the album drops or gets close to dropping, with a confirmed release date. I hope I get to see them with this old-style set-list and a new one comprising of mostly new songs. ?:smoking:

I dont give a shit what they play. I would be happy for one song.
Quit complaining about them playing only old stuff... those are the classics, and it is true some people would rather here those songs than the new shit.

u can get more smashed and wasted for the concert...in Toronto 2002 me and my buddies fucked off and went to a nearby bar and chugged pitchers until like 11 then did some bad stuff... it was AWESOME.... by the time we came back in the concert we waited like 5 minutes while chicks were flashing their tits then jungle came on.... some fans don't know how to rock it for gnr yo

Hey, at least Chinese Democracy was back in the setlist.

How can fans still not know Axl goes on around 1030-11pm every show. He did it for the euro tour, he did it in 2002 and he did it in 91-93. Anyone who is a gnr fans knows this.

I kept telling my friend the same...Axl goes on late or later.

People who had floor seats were only allowed in two doors as others were allowed in by 6 or 7 doors so we missed

Bachs set.

The band sounded great. Just a truly amazing experience : ok:

Tons of merch including shirts, beanies, posters, hockey jerseys, baseball

jerseys, work shirts(Killer but not worth $100) etc.

Just got off the phone with Kujo. He said the crowd was going absolutely apeshit over the old stuff. He said the response to the new stuff was good as well, but the old stuff is what the crowd went nutty for.

If indeed it was Frank playing drums, there is the possiblilty that Brain is going on duty with the newly reformed Primus.  They are releasing some greatest hits material and start touring at the beginning of next month.  I'm not sure on any of the details, but it could be the case...

I was there. Great show! Crowd response was awsome on all the songs but the oldies are what the people want. No blame either since we have no CD. Axl's voice rocked!! And a couple of people left early before PC. Maybe they thought the show was over??? Great show!

BTW Ron kicked ass!! But his shirt :nervous: Even Baz commented about it. Something like " That shirt is causing interference" :rofl:

So did Axl not have any "rants" or "storys"?? It doesnt seem like he talked much at all.

Sounds like it was a killer show.  I can not wait to see them in Cleveland later next month.

The setlist looked good.  Most fans going to these shows know nothing of the new songs, so you have to make sure you keep them happy by playing the old stuff.  You keep the Die Hards happy by playing a few new songs. 

As for an announcement, I find it ironic that HTGTH is going to be 10 years old tomorrow.  What a better birthday gift for Jarmo than an annoucment answering all the questions.(Release date, track list, Single, Axl's girlfrineds Phone number, ...) :hihi:

As I said before, hearing Axl belt out classics like WTTJ, Brownstone, November Rain etc. is my idea of a good time.  A new song would be cool, but it doesn't make or break the show.

Whining about the setlist, that's old.

If you still feel like beating that Dead Horse, you know where to go.

Just beware, you're the ones who expect things to happen and get disappointed when your dreams don't come true.

Simple answer:

Because the album is coming out during the tour.

Concert-goers last night DID get something special.  GNR opened the encore with Chinese Democracy which IMO is going to be the actual concert opener in the future.

They can't put any more new material into the show until the album gets released and new material gets airtime.

That happens AFTER the album gets released.  It'll be here in no time.  Axl is doing it his way and always has.  If you don't like that then why are you here?  I've waited since 1995 or so for a new album when the original lineup was in the studio working on the next project.

Then it was 1999....then 2000....then 2002....

I can wait 2 more months for the new album and another 6 months or so for new material when they come back to the states after touring elsewhere in early 2007.  And if I couldn't I would focus on finding something new to follow as opposed to waisting my time whining about something that I CANNOT FIX.

So, I hope that GNR plays Chinese Democracy as the encore opener in MSG when I'll be there.  Does it really matter what they're playing so as long as they are on tour??  That means the band is still functioning and in existence.

This world is full of music.  I'm sure one can find something he or she likes elsewhere as opposed to being aggravated while sticking around her.

How many people would complain if they diddnt hear their classic GNR favorites? Enough said.

I say be happy GNR are putting on a killer show.

Wow, I'm surprised what a great review that was. They were definitely on his ass for being late though, but that's just normal anymore and should be expected. I also like that they noticed it was the 'Chinese Democracy Tour' but not many songs from the album were played... so maybe more people at the shows are interested in hearing some new songs than a lot of people think?? But, Good review and thanks for posting that.

Thanks for the link to those pics... some bad ass Axl pics in there. No offenese to any Papa Roach fans, but the lead singer looks like a fucking boy band member with tattoos. I've never seen the guy until just now and WOW!! He's funny.  But Axl looked good and in a few pics you can tell by the look on his face that something was bothering him and he was pissed off. He always gives that same look when he's getting angry about something. I would like to see some pics of Ron's shirt and see what all the fuss was about concerning that. I'm sure we'll see some soon... EFISH??

Hey I was just wondering how the floor was last night. I have floor seats for Toronto and I was wondering if it was hard or easy to get to the front and if it is necesary to watch baz and papa roach in order to get a good spot on the floor. Because I dont want to stand there and not drink. I would rather drink and go later if I will still be able to get a good spot.
