There are fire regulations too, I've been to a couple of sold out shows there, and there's definitely room to fit more people but they aren't allowed to. Title: Re: GnR Playin in stadiums? As a comparison (though not a great one since they put seats on the floor) Giant's stadium in NJ has a capacity of 80,000 for Football but The Rolling Stones played a soldout show to around 60,000 last year.
