WITH SUCH SHITTY BANDS OUT THERE MAKING SHITTY MUSIC AND BEING TARGETTED AT 13 YEAR OLDS, CHINESE DEMOCRACY WILL MAKE THOSE KIDDIES GROW UP QUICK!

I think Rolling Stone will be fair and that they may give it a good review. The AMG All Music Guide I think will pan it as the guy who usually reviews GN'R, Stephen Thomas Erlawine is a pretentious douche who hates Axl.

I hope your right it would be really cool after all these years if Axl returned and just blew the music scene apart again with CD. I'm not so optimistic sadly, I don't think it'll do badly but I'm not expecting old GNR type success at all.

CD is doomed, beforehand by the swedish papers atleast..you should have seen the review for the gig in Stockholm..hell, the paper even wrote something like " Axl is taking long breaks backstage, probably to snort cocaine"  :rant:

It's obvious from reading the stuff on "Rolling Stones" website that they're in bed with GnR. Guns will be getting a 5 Star review along with being on the cover of the magazine.

All Music gave both Illusions 4 1\2 stars and Appetite 5 stars, so I don't think it will do too bad on there. Reviews are 'reviewed' after people write them up anyway, to make sure the writer isn't being biased in favor of a band or is just being hateful towards them for their own personal reasons. At first I had thought that many of the critics would give GN'R a hard time and score them low no matter what, but lately after hearing so much positive press about this band for once, I think the album will be CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED.  Well... if it is great, which I don't doubt that it will be. But we haven't heard all of the songs yet and if non-hardcore GN'R fans think it's a mediocre album, it will be rated as such. If the music is fucking mind blowing, most people won't give it shitty reviews,  whether they hate the band or not.

yeha so do i. the demos were received quite good as well, rolling stone stating that 'it was already better as velvet revolver'. Which is in my eyes already a pretty big compliment, since I like VR a lot too!.
